Here are your answers compared to this voter’s answers.
Healthcare › COVID Mask Mandate
8>8 Personal answerI think there should be a national mandate that when social distancing isn't possible then masks should be required. |
Social › LGBT Adoption Rights
8>8 Personal answerThe adoption agencies should have the right to offer their services as they see fit |
Social › Abortion
8>8 Personal answerPro-life |
Social › Gay Marriage
8>8 Personal answerI don't agree with same sex marriage, but because marriage is a legal contract, then if the government decided to make it legal, then it should be legal. Churches should have the right to say they will not perform same sex marriages though as it is a belief issue. The separation of church and state applies here as well. |
the Economy › Equal Pay
8>8 Personal answerYes, to the extent the they are both doing the same job, but experience, education level, productivity and years with the company can create discrepancies that are not bias and can put either gender ahead. |
Domestic Policy › Gun Control
8>8 Personal answerThis is a much bigger issue than just restrictions. I believe there are many more illegal guns used in crimes than those that are bought legally. I believe that we need to have more conversations rather than arguments so that we can actually figure out how to address this issue holistically. Restrictions usually impact those who are already doing legal and responsible things rather than those that are choosing to live outside of the law. |
Crime › Police Body Cameras
8>8 Personal answerYes, this will protect the safety and rights of police officers and citizens |
Social › Marital Rape
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Domestic Policy › Insurrection Act
8>8 Personal answeryes, but only if they become violent and the local or state police and government cannot get it under control. |
Healthcare › Drug Price Regulation
8>8 Personal answerNo. The government should not intervene in the free market unless it is necessary. Limiting prices limits investments in research and development of new life saving drugs. Instead, set a maximum price that drug manufacturers can charge for life saving drugs, and instead let them increase prices for cosmetics or supplements that aren’t needed. Let the market compete with minimum intervention and common sense laws. |
Social › Gun Buyback
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Healthcare › Pre-Existing Conditions
8>8 Personal answerNo, but they should be allowed to ask for a higher price. |
Social › Gender Identity
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Healthcare › Mental Health
8>8 Personal answerYes, our mental healthcare system needs more funding to provide a higher quality of care and services |
Social › Religious Freedom Act
8>8 Personal answerIf they are a private business then this is their right. If they are a publicly traded company of any kind, I believe that this should not be allowed. |
Social › Transgender Athletes
8>8 Personal answerYes, but only if their hormone levels are equivalent to those in the gender category in which they compete |
Immigration › Muslim Immigrant Ban
8>8 Personal answerNo, immigration ban should not be discriminatory against a religion. Bans should only arise if there is a potential threat from a individual |
Social › Planned Parenthood Funding
8>8 Personal answerPlanned Parenthood is a private organization and should only be funded by the government through grants and those grants should never be used to support abortion. The government should never fund abortion, it is a medical procedure that the patient should be responsible for. |
the Economy › Minimum Wage
8>8 Personal answerNo, this just creates a never ending cycle because businesses will just pass on the cost of that increase to consumers and it will create a never ending cycle. Additionally, most minimum wage jobs are for those who are building experience like a high school student, not someone that is financing a family. |
Domestic Policy › Armed Teachers
8>8 Personal answerNo, hire professionally trained security guards instead |
the Environment › Climate Change
8>8 Personal answerDo regulations really work that well? Have the ones we have currently really helped things that well. I think there needs to be some regulation and definitely penalties for breaking those regulations and negatively impacting the environment, but make alternatives easier to access, because it is often cheaper to risk the penalties than to actually make a change to alternatives. |
the Economy › Paid Sick Leave
8>8 Personal answerNo, private businesses should decide the amount of competitive incentives they offer to employees instead of a government mandate |
Domestic Policy › Drug Policy
8>8 Personal answerI believe that there needs to be more focus on treatment and rehabilitation, but there are a lot of "criminals" who have never done things that warrant being in jail. If they continue to use and do not engage treatment and rehabilitation options, then they should go to jail. |
the Economy › Taxes
8>8 Personal answerWe should overhaul the tax code to make it more fair and equal. I like the idea of a flat rate, but I don't know enough to say this is the best option, but when you can't take a raise because it puts you in a higher tax bracket where you end up bringing home less money, it tells me that something is broken. Citizens should not have to decide between a raise and their taxes. |
Domestic Policy › Term Limits
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Foreign Policy › Mandatory Military Service
8>8 Personal answerDon't have an opinion |
Domestic Policy › Muslim Surveillance
8>8 Personal answerNo, but police should increase surveillance and patrol of all high crime neighborhoods |
Social › Racial Sensitivity Training
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Education › Free College for All
8>8 Personal answerNo, but decrease interest rates on student loans and provide more scholarship and grant opportunities. |
Education › Student Loans
8>8 Personal answerNo, but we should still reduce interest rates for student loans |
Immigration › Immigration
8>8 Personal answerI do agree that most children should be granted residency and a path to citizenship if they were not born here. If they were born here, they are citizens. |
Social › Death Penalty
8>8 Personal answerYes, but only for horrific crimes with undeniable evidence |
Healthcare › Marijuana
8>8 Personal answerYes, but only for medical use |
Social › Government Mandates
8>8 Personal answerNo, it should be covered like any other prescription |
Social › Hate Speech
8>8 Personal answerYes, as long as it does not threaten violence |
Social › Confederate Flag
8>8 Personal answerNo |

Domestic Policy › NSA Domestic Surveillance
8>8 Personal answerNo, only with a warrant showing probable cause of criminal activity |
Domestic Policy › Supreme Court Reform
8>8 Personal answerYes, but only reform to impose term limits on judges |

8>8 Personal answerYes, switch to a multi-member, proportionally selected redistricting system |
Social › Women in Combat
8>8 Personal answerYes, as long as they can pass the same physical tests as men |
Immigration › Illegal Immigrant Detainment
8>8 Personal answerYs, illegal immigrants are breaking federal laws, but there also needs to be immigration reform to make this issue less of an issue. |
Healthcare › Medicaid
8>8 Personal answerI don't have an issue with having medicaid funding for those who are not able to get other coverage or for those that are elderly or disabled, but I think rather than expanding medicaid, we should be working on how to get those individuals in a place of being able to get more conventional medical insurance. |
Science › Mandatory Vaccinations
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Domestic Policy › Social Media Regulation
8>8 Personal answerNo, social media companies are private and should not be regulated by the government |
Crime › Private Prisons
8>8 Personal answerNo, private prisons will sacrifice quality of care and rehabilitation services for profit |
Social › Gender Workplace Diversity
8>8 Personal answerNo, board members should be the most qualified regardless of gender |
Immigration › Immigration Healthcare
8>8 Personal answerThere is not a clear answer to this. Most of the time, if they are illegal, they are not going to be reaching out most of the time because they don't want to be deported, but when a child is brought over, they do not have choice and they should have the care the they need. Again, this should be more of an immigration change issue rather than a healthcare issue. |
Immigration › Sanctuary Cities
8>8 Personal answerWe don't need Sanctuary Cities, we need to make legalization a little more accessible. |
Healthcare › Single-Payer Healthcare
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Elections › Voter Fraud
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Immigrant Laborers
8>8 Personal answerYes, during that time, we need to have either a path to citizenship or a path to work visa that they must be engaging in. Many immigrants are here to work because the pay is so much better and they send the money back to their home country. |
the Economy › Corporate Tax
8>8 Personal answerThis is bigger than raising or lowering. We need to look at things as a whole and determine the best plan that will help corporations to continue to function and provide jobs, but they should not be making money from the government or never having to pay any taxes. |
Social › Safe Spaces
8>8 Personal answerThis is a university issue to decide, not the government |
Domestic Policy › Patriot Act
8>8 Personal answerNo |
the Economy › Government Spending
8>8 Personal answerThe government needs to regulate their spending, instead of wasting it on items that can be build later. The debt is real and needs to be dealt with now. |
Foreign Policy › NATO
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Foreign Policy › Israel
8>8 Personal answerYes |
Immigration › Border Wall
8>8 Personal answerNot sure that it really matters either way. We need to address immigration more to deal with the Mexican boarder. |
Immigration › Immigrant Assimilation
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Defunding the Police
8>8 Personal answerNo, when we privatize things, they are more likely to become corrupt so increase funding for training, appropriate equipment and to increase community engagement to improve relationships between the police and the community. |
Domestic Policy › Net Neutrality
8>8 Personal answerBetter idea. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE FREE MARKET AT ALL ISP CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT. |
Domestic Policy › Gun Liability
8>8 Personal answerNo, unless the dealer knowingly broke a law and did not properly screen the buyer before purchase. The manufacture should not be liable for gun violence. |
Social › First Amendment
8>8 Personal answerAs long as the government doesn't establish a religion or force people to believe something, there is no problem. |
Healthcare › Medicaid Work Requirement
8>8 Personal answerYes, If they are able |
Social › Niqāb
8>8 Personal answerYes, but their identity must be privately verified by a female staff member |
Elections › Right of Foreigners to Vote
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Crime › Solitary Confinement for Juveniles
8>8 Personal answerIt should only be used as a last resort and more funding needs to go towards rehabilitation supports. |
Social › Euthanasia
8>8 Personal answerNo, but they should be allowed to refuse artificial life support |
Crime › Mandatory minimum prison sentences
8>8 Personal answerNo |
Healthcare › Medicare Drug Prices
8>8 Personal answerYes, but only to negotiate not regulate |
Domestic Policy › Affirmative Action
8>8 Personal answeryes and no. I don't think anyone should get favorable treatments based on race, but I know that without affirmative action there would be way too much racism against minorities. |
Healthcare › Safe Haven
8>8 Personal answerNo, but there should be a program that to combat addiction where voluntary signups would be safe from prosecution. |
Domestic Policy › Flag Burning
8>8 Personal answerNo |
the Economy › Welfare
8>8 Personal answerMore, we need congress to pass welfare reform, and change the system to where is supplements rather than replaces a working income. The ultimate goal for the welfare system should be to get people off welfare, not to manipulate voters. Also, welfare should only be available to citizens. |
the Economy › Universal Basic Income
8>8 Personal answerNo, this will encourage people not to work and harm economic growth |
Foreign Policy › Soleimani
8>8 Personal answerI don't have enough information |
the Economy › Welfare Drug Testing
8>8 Personal answerYes, but provide treatment for those testing positive |

Foreign Policy › United Nations
8>8 Personal answerYes but not fund so heavily - they really haven't achieved much and most things can be vetoed by a handful of nations |
Healthcare › Obamacare
8>8 Personal answerNo, I do not support the Affordable Care Act, mainly because since it was passed, healthcare is no longer affordable to most people. I had a comprehensive insurance plan that I got for myself prior to this being passed that was less than $200 a month. When I became self employed again, I could only get a plan through the marketplace and they were over $200 a month with the "credit that was given and the coverage was horrible and not nearly as good as what I was able to get on my own. I agree that the healthcare system is super expensive, but I feel like the cost has only increased since the passing of this bill and that the government should have limited involvement in healthcare. I have spoken to people who grew up with nationalized healthcare and they did not like it or support it for the US. I do think there should be some patient protections in place and that pre existing conditions should be covered. |
the Environment › Fracking
8>8 Personal answerYes, but find a way to continue the process in such a way where it posess no threat to the enviornment |

Foreign Policy › Torture
8>8 Personal answerI feel like I am on both sides of the issue |

8>8 Personal answerMore, veterans should be able to see any doctor of their choice, but still we should increase funding to improve the current system |

8>8 Personal answerYes |

8>8 Personal answerYes, consumers have a right to know what is in their food |
Crime › Prison Overcrowding
8>8 Personal answerYes, but they should have parol requirements for the remainder of their sentence. |

Transportation › Public Transportation

Crime › Criminal Voting Rights
8>8 Personal answermaybe, it just depends on the crime they committed. |

National Security › Foreign Assassination
8>8 Personal answerI think there are times that this is needed, but caution is needed and it needs to be a last resort. |
