DNC Chairman Jaime Harrison strongly rebuked Senator Bernie Sanders' assertion that the Democratic Party has lost the support of working-class voters.
Sanders had suggested that the party's recent electoral struggles were due to abandoning the working class, a claim Harrison dismissed as 'straight up BS.' The exchange highlights ongoing tensions within the Democratic Party between its progressive and establishment wings, particularly over how to address the concerns of working-class Americans.
Harrison's response underscores the party's efforts to defend its record and appeal to a broad voter base ahead of future elections.
.Here are the top political news stories for today.
The Democrats have abandoned the working class for years, Bernie’s just calling out what everyone already knows, and the DNC doesn’t want to admit it.
Honestly, Bernie’s just saying what a lot of us have been thinking for a while — the party needs to stop taking working-class voters for granted and actually fight for their interests.
Sanders is out of touch—Democrats are balancing progressive goals with pragmatic policies that actually win elections and help working people.
Maybe if the DNC actually listened to Bernie and focused more on working-class issues instead of corporate donors, they wouldn’t have to keep defending their record.

Of course the Democrats are losing working-class voters, they've been more focused on pushing woke agendas than actually addressing real issues like jobs and the economy.
Both sides kinda have a point here – Bernie’s right that the Dems need to do more for the working class, but Harrison’s also not wrong that they’re still trying to appeal to a wide range of voters. Maybe instead of arguing, they should figure out how to actually connect with more people.
