The Strait of Hormuz, the world's most critical oil chokepoint, has seen shipping traffic grind to a near halt amid escalating conflict between Iran, the US, and their allies.
Both sides have imposed blockades, leading to attacks on vessels and widespread uncertainty, with only a handful of ships daring to transit the waterway. The disruption has forced countries like Kuwait to declare force majeure on oil shipments, highlighting the vulnerability of global energy supplies. Analysts warn that even if the strait reopens, restoring normal oil flows will be slow and difficult, with long-lasting economic damage expected worldwide.
The crisis has sparked urgent interest in alternative energy routes and exposed the fragility of global trade and energy security.

I personally feel that the Strait of Hormuz crisis A. shouldn't be happening and we shouldn't be so dependent on oil, and B. is/was preventable as the Iran war was at the wrong time for the wrong reasons with not enough of a cause to start (which of course led to this crisis).

gas is way to expencive for mony the govement has
@BCYDH4XRepublican8hrs8H
The Strait being closed affects the whole world, and leads to rising cost for gas, which in this day and age is an everyday essential. I would like to see the Strait opened sooner rather than later.
@BCYG9QS7hrs7H
why does the prices of the gas have to go up so much.
This matters more because on a global scale limiting resources for thousands, the conflict does matter but is only being driven by our own governments decisions.
@BCYNGGF4mins4m
I think that this is bad because it will cause inflation on oil.
