The only personal loyalty or political ideology that we should have is defending democracy, the rule of law and the constitution. There should be an independent bi-partisan agency tasked with the responsibility of fact-checking all utterances of public representatives and influencers. If utterances are found to be based on lies or warped truth (such as 'alternative facts'), then the agency should be tasked with highlighting the lies and misinformation and all broadcasters legally bound to report the agencies findings.
It's refreshing to see Governor DeSantis standing up for President Trump's voting rights, even with their differences. The way these legal battles are being fought against Trump really do seem more like political witch hunts than fair justice. It's good to know there are still politicians out there who understand the importance of loyalty and fairness, regardless of internal party competitions.
DeSantis stepping up to defend Trump's voting rights just shows he's one of the few willing to stand against the politicized justice system trying to silence a major conservative voice. It's refreshing to see some backbone in politics, calling out this sham for what it is and fighting for fair treatment, regardless of personal rivalries.
