there should be not minimum wage, businesses should be able to choose

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas  disagreed…2yrs2Y

Yes, and make it a living wage

We literally had this for all of US history and it simply was not helpful at all for society...that's why we made a minimum wage in the first place.

 @9DXJJ2J from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

This is more a state and regional issue. A fed minimum wage should be minimal. States can factor rates that are more in accord with their cost of living

 @94WXJYF from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @B554DHX from Minnesota  answered…2mos2MO

most places you could work at don't even charge minimum wage, I would think most places pay $11-$15 an hour when you start working there and that would be like a fast food restaurant, minimum wage should be raised but if you are already working for minimum wage you should find a different job.

 @B4TZC9V from Minnesota  answered…3mos3MO

No, the prices of housing and other basic necessities should match a living wage as it did in the 1950's and 60's.

 @B48CB4Y from Minnesota  answered…3mos3MO

what needs to be done is a steady rate from income to expenses, the rate one grows, the other needs to as well.

 @B3PR9GN from Minnesota  answered…4mos4MO

Yes, but other factors should be considered (like tips, health insurance, leadership/internship opportunities)

 @B3LVY6Q from Minnesota  answered…4mos4MO

We should receive everything we need to be able to live independently since we don’t community live or thrive.

 @B2D5N2X from Minnesota  answered…6mos6MO

Increase the minimum wage and mandate that large corporations cannot increase prices to adjust for the raise, but rather divide incomes more equitably amongst all employees.

 @9ZZNKHL from Minnesota  answered…7mos7MO

No, but address inflation head-on to decrease the cost of products, services, and more to better match the current economic state

 @9WZDD9J from Minnesota  answered…8mos8MO

Yes, and make sure that any job from companies that aren't entry-level jobs(Cashier, fast food worker, etc.) are living wage and adjust it every year according to inflation.

 @9WYCYZT from Minnesota  answered…8mos8MO

Yes and no,… minimum wage should be adjusted by experience, education, location, and number of dependents. Employers should then be required to hire based on requirements of the job first. There should be a rubric, but we also need to be fair to both the employer, the employee, the utility companies and landlords. There has to be a middle ground somewhere.

 @9WDLQBH from Minnesota  answered…9mos9MO

yeah people deserve more money for the work they put in and they helping the world these rappers shouldnt even be gettin paid this muc

 @9WBKBFL from Minnesota  answered…9mos9MO

Make minimum wage geographically variable according to cost of living and dynamic in relation inflation.

 @9VNJXG6 from Minnesota  answered…9mos9MO

Maybe, but, if you raise the MW then inflation will just make everything also go up so there's no point but maybe.

 @9TGNX2MDemocrat from Minnesota  answered…10mos10MO

keep it the same because raising the minimum wage will raise prices of stuff at that store and eventually raise taxes

 @9TC7N4F from Minnesota  answered…10mos10MO

No, it’s pretty high now, but continue to adjust the minimum wage to adequately support economic inflation and reduction.

 @9SLTTLVAmerican Solidarity from Minnesota  answered…11mos11MO

The Federal Reserve needs to stop printing needless money and accept that it bankrupted itself years ago. The value on our dollar is ever-decreasing, no matter if the minimum wage is increased or not. Inflation exists because too much money was printed with not enough gold to back it.

 @9RNQS4Y from Minnesota  answered…11mos11MO

Minimum wage standards should be adjusted by age group and/or disability or lack of ability to work in higher paying environments based on the individuals physical and mental health

 @9QW85WX from Minnesota  answered…12mos12MO

Companies should be required to pay their employees based on record profits. A base wage should be required.

 @9MFKD9P from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

I don't understand the long-term effects of changing the federal minimum wage but if they don't end up increasing the overall prices of everything, then raise it.

 @9M7D4GL from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

Yes and start putting maxes on products, because every time they raise the minimum wage, they also raise prices.

 @9M3Q92X from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

Raise my pay. I've been working in the shop and the farm for so pooping long for only $8.00 an hour.

 @9LXRYKVConstitution from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

no, I would say we could try and reset wages by having all money funds or even getting rid of almost all funds making a dollar worth thousands more than how it is today.

 @9LQJHGS from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

to a certain extent yes, but they should focus more on regulating inflation back to a normal state rather than focusing on the minimum wage

 @9L4BZV9 from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

No, the minimum wage should be set by each state according to cost of living and geographic localities.

 @9KWXGN4 from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

No, there should be a regional minimum wage based on the cost of living in each region, and it should reflect a comfortable living wage for everyone. Someone in a large city has a different cost of living than someone in a rural area. States also have differing costs of living between them.

 @9K25T6P from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

Minimum wages should be raised for persons who have worked at least two years for a company and are at least 21 years of age.

 @9GRQDY2 from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and keep increasing it so people can live off of it but also go by the business so they don’t go under.

 @9G2QFXCRepublican from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

Most minimum wage jobs are meant for experience and not support, we should reduce inflation, and adjust by wage group

 @9F9VQYYRepublican from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

No, the minimum wage should be adjusted by states because they are able to better determine what minimum wage can buy in their respective states

 @9BP5FJB from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

I think we need to lower it so people can have industrial revolution factory wages and hours, and so kids won't be lazy they will have a job.

 @9B934DS from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

I think minimum wage should change gradually based on inflation. The cost of living has increased. Families are living in poverty and living paycheck to paycheck. Even workers with experience are getting paid less than they deserve. (Parts from another user too)

 @9B2KNCY from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes and adjust it every year according to inflation and no because it will only cause prices to increase in a never ending cycle

 @5GHSCDSIndependent from Minnesota  answered…2yrs2Y

No, minimum wage prices out workers and exacerbates automation. Implement UBI instead.

 @96X6884Women’s Equality from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes because you never know what someone is going through so what if they really need the money they should raise it at least a little bit so people that need help should get the help

 @96MXLWQ from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, make it a living wage and also adjusting it every year matching inflation rate.

 @96DQ58V from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No because raising minimum wage increases the cost of the labor which increases the cost of products/services

 @96D26FK from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @96CRTVF from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No, this will only cause prices to increase in a never ending cycle. Instead, mandate a minimum number of hours worked in any given clock in/clock out cycle to prevent workers getting screwed over by split shifts.

 @966VQMF from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

I won't say, I feel it is not my call even if it's just my opinion. I don't feel comfortable saying.

 @965L9SH from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes of course since inflation is hounding the ones working at Mcdonalds

 @963MKHY from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

yes in no according to the areas need price range the wage should depend on that

 @95HLRDV from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

I believe minimum wage should be set at the state level so it can be more appropriate for that area.

 @94S2RGBPeace and Freedom from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No, I think that the cost of other things should be lowered because of the fact that the ¨Inflation"of this year isn´t inflation its corporate greed.

 @94GNPZK from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @94DTY26 from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

if min wage jobs are for experiance what is the point of an intern ship

 @94DMF85Republican from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @947M8W2 from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

Tie lowest paid to highest paid by percentage. Highest paid worker should earn no more than 2000% more than lowest paid worker.

 @93242VC from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, it should be adjusted yearly according to inflation and be a living wage

 @92YYW9PRepublican from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

I feel like people who work really hard deserve a raise but not people who don't do anything and get rewarded for it.

 @92WZF7X from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92WPHL2 from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No, state governments should control minimum wage to fit with the needs of their state.

 @92TGYZZAmerican from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92T7GN5 from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No because it will only raise the cost of living. minimum wage is minimum for a reason you should not be able to live off of it.

 @92RH9P7 from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

It all depends. Yes, some people are trying to make a living off minimum wage and others are just high school students trying to make some money. But honestly, I think it should all just be on how highly ranked you are at your job, what the job is, and your experience.

 @92MXZTG from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No, but eliminate tip credits and other loopholes for servers and other tipped workers.

 @92K6W22 from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92F8JRW from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

It really depends on how much a business can afford and how much the worker needs/wants. Everyone thinks differently on that.

 @92BDZ9H from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92B4ZFB from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No, If people want to make more money they should just get a better job, minimum wage is not a high paying job for a reason

 @92726KH from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @924VYXT from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

no, wages should be decided by individual labor unions to fairly represent the worker

 @923Y3CW from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

It should depend from age and inflation if your 16 you only need like 13 a hour but if you are older something like 20-25 an hour might be better

 @923X55Z from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZPXX7J from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No, because minimum wage increase doesn't affect the targeted population but instead teenagers.

 @8ZLCGJKDemocrat from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZHD342Libertarian from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

No, the minimum wage should be an issue dealt with on a state or district level, as the cost of living varies widely across the country.

 @8ZGHVY6 from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8ZFZH82 from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes it should be adjusted each year beaded on the inflation also it should be based on age groups too.

 @8ZDTMBC from Minnesota  answered…3yrs3Y

The minimum wage should move along with inflation another cost-of-living adjustments

Only if it doesn't raise the prices of everything else and limits job accessibility.

 @bigmackay98 from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes because people should be making 50 dollars an hour at least. But also No because it diminishes bargaining power from unions in other Democracies across the world.

 @8Y2W3P7 from Minnesota  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, require major companies to pay their employees more and prevent them from raising the price of certain goods. Like milk, fruits, veggies, and other essential products to health.
