That currently, the minimum wage makes it impossible for a single person to live on their own with just minimum wage

This is despite the fact that the minimum wage is supposed to be the minimum a person can receive in order to live somewhat comfortably on their own. Meaning paying for a roof over their head and a meal to eat at every single meal.
