We need too, minimum wage is supposed to be a hourly wage that can support a family while working 30-40 hrs per week. The minimum wage of 8.75 per hour at 40 hours a week is 700 dollars on a bi weekly paycheck before taxes are taken out. The current cost of living which I have done math on many times surpasses 2000 a month. Leaving a minimum wage employee 600 + dollars short. This should not be possible. Taxes can stay the same and big corporations can suck it up.
