Abortion is a medical procedure resulting in the termination of a human pregnancy and death of a fetus. Abortion was banned in 30 states until the 1973 Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade. The ruling made abortion legal in all 50 states but gave them regulatory powers over when abortions could be performed during a pregnancy. On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade in the case Dobbs v. Jackson. The court ruled that the substantive right to abortion was not “deeply rooted in this Nation’s history or tradition”, nor considered a right when the Due Process Clause was ratified in 1868.

Pro choice, but ban abortions after fetal viability UNLESS the health of the mother or baby is in question. At the same time we need to have a nationwide standard for good sex ed, make contraceptives cheap and readily available, and remove unnecessary barriers to early abortion.
@96GN57VIndependent3yrs3Y
Pro-choice, but set high taxes on non life threatening birth control to hold people accountable for their actions
@952H3BY3yrs3Y
Pro-choice, and ban after the second trimester
@92LD3ZN3yrs3Y
Pro-choice, but ban after a few months but give exceptions to cases of rape incest or if it dangers the mother.
@92HFKP93yrs3Y
Pro-choice, but ban after three months and consultation of the father (in instances that are not life threatening to the mother the father would be notified but not asked permission).
@8ZJFJZZ3yrs3Y
Pro-life, but work for solutions which protect both the mother and the child.
@8ZGM7PJWomen’s Equality3yrs3Y
It depends on if the baby was forced into you or not
@8ZGHSNL3yrs3Y
It is the mothers choice to bear that child or not. Not the government.
Pro-Life, from what I know abortion leaves lots of mental problems/ Do more for adoption.
@8Z7TXMM3yrs3Y
I am pro life but do not believe it is my right to tell a women what she can and cannot do so abrtion should be legal.
@8Z5X4C83yrs3Y
I am for, it is important today that women feel safe, it is also necessary to plan campaigns to limit rape, incest and all violations of women's rights.
@8YYKG2P3yrs3Y
Pro-life, but rather than outlaw for risk of unsafe illegal abortions provide birth control, adoption education, sex education, and more social services to help reduce the number of abortions
@8YTSZSL3yrs3Y
Pro-choice, but only until the end of the second trimester, which is the point of fetal viability. Additionally, a reciprocal 'financial abortion' should be available to the father within that period of time.
@8YT8TGM3yrs3Y
@8YJ5DWF3yrs3Y
abortion is murder and doctors that perform it and women that go through with it should be charged with murder
@8Y95Z5C3yrs3Y
Pro life but before 4 months of pregnancy or when it is needed to save the mother, then they can conduct abortion. Also teach everyone living in the USA about spirituality.
@8Y73RQ73yrs3Y
i support it in certain ways but other ways i dont for the simple reason your killing them but sometimes abortion is a better choice than having your child have a horrible life if the parents cant take care of it
@8XKPLDZ3yrs3Y
i think abortion should NOT happen because you either want a child or not don't have a baby and then decide you don't want it after 8 1/2 months
@8XJ87RT3yrs3Y
Okay, first of all, I believe that there could be any amount of circumstances or reasons why a person would want or have an abortion but a life is a life and that comes with a price that you can never take back but at the end of the day it's the person's choice whether they abort or not, therefore, I as a mere female and a child that knows how painful womanhood is I have no right to tell another female if they should or shouldn't have a child but I will say be careful of the choice you make because it is a very much a permanent situation that you may never come back from. So I have no answer for this question because it is a relevant topic but I just have no answer for this specific question.
@8XHGWCW3yrs3Y
pro-life,but allow in case of doctors prescribe
@8XGTHFV3yrs3Y
I would let them do what they want and not get involved in their life
@8X63WBV4yrs4Y
Pro-Life, but the government has no right to ban it. Should not be viewed as a positive thing in modern culture, as the throwing away of potential life is not ok
@8X38CHT4yrs4Y
Pro-choice, but band after the first six weeks.
@8WVXWFJ4yrs4Y
Pro-life but I think that the only person involved in this decision should be the woman who is pregnant.
@8WNNVT84yrs4Y
pro-choice but if u abort the child for 2 years u are no longer able to call the child yours and you are not be able to reclaim your child even if the child wants u to be it true mother or father.
@8WN9345Libertarian4yrs4Y
im pro choice but i only think its ok for rape stuff similar to that
@8WLQYWJ4yrs4Y
Pro-life with an exception in cases of rape
@8WJLZWR4yrs4Y
I am pro choice, although I do not agree with mothers taking away their babies life, but at the end of the day it is their choice.
@8W5B8M84yrs4Y
When it all comes down, I am more on the Pro-life side. However, I do believe that only a woman can decide what happens to her body. No one else should have that say over her. Especially in cases of rape, incest, or danger to the mother or child. I personally don't think I could through with an abortion, but I am not every woman. At the end of the day, it's her life and her body.
@8VL3V5FRepublican4yrs4Y
ive seen videos about how abortion works and its horrible and should be very limited by use of birth control products. Rape and or incest are a automatic abortion.
@8VHJ7934yrs4Y
have the child if the man is willing to take care.If she never wanted kids probally should not have had sex or should have gotten fixed,or on birth control
@8VDP7SXIndependent4yrs4Y
its a womens choice dont make her give up her baby because that's taking away her rights as a mother
@8V38QDM4yrs4Y
Pro-choice, and providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions. I also want to have a legal factor in the decision if it's my child
@8TWR3GB4yrs4Y
Men shouldn't even have an opinion on this. It's like asking women what they think of circumcision or vesectomies, they might have an opinion but it isn't valid.
@8S4KZRQ4yrs4Y
Pro-life, but the father, the mother, as well as a valid reason such as safety of the mother and rape. Any other reasons such as economy and "accident" or teenage pregnancy can still be used, but, it comes with a mandatory sterilization. The government also have to assist economically struggling households who had a newborn, and conduct strict, routine checks to ensure the assistance isn't abused.
Pro-life, and provide funding for public clinics that specialize in pregnancy and provide products and serves such as, screening, affordable/free baby supplies, adoption referrals, loans, couseling, sexual abuse and assault resources, and even temporary housing if possible.

@jniz735yrs5Y
Pro-choice, I don’t agree in certain instances but the government has no right to ban it. Post-birth abortion should be illegal if there is no signs of harm to the mother and doctors should take whatever means necessary to help a child once they are born.
@994RTK42yrs2Y
Abortion is not a good thing because it can end a life and ruin others so no.
@98LVNJZ2yrs2Y
Highly pro life but at the same time I don’t really think that the government has a right to ban it
@98KVJQL2yrs2Y
Pro-choice, but ban after 24 weeks unless there is a medical emergency or quality of life of child is diminished
@98JRGBR2yrs2Y
Pro-life but at the same time I believe that the government should not have a say/part in this it’s
@98HT8BK2yrs2Y
Pro life but I don’t think that the government should have a part/say in it
@98H53FX2yrs2Y
Very pro life but I don’t think the government has a right to ban it
if the girl doesn't want the kid she don't need it give it to the father because at the end of the day it should be up to the man tho to because it's also the man's kid at the end of the day
@986S9MN2yrs2Y
If there is a health issue then pro-choice if there is no need for it then pro-life
@97J4MDC3yrs3Y
Redefine the definition of abortion. I am opposed to abortion as a means of birth control. Any other instance must be between a woman and her doctor, as procedures labeled abortion are actually removing a fetus who has died in the womb but has not been ejected from the mother’s body.
@977SB3L3yrs3Y
Pro-choice, I don't agree, but the government should ban it all over the world because it is unsafe and very harmful to people. To newborn babies and to moms all over the world.
@8ZZ2YVVRepublican3yrs3Y
I do not believe the the government shoud be able to stop you, but I do believe that there are better options .
@8TPDLNV4yrs4Y
I'm pro-life but enforcing that stance is unsustainable as of now.
@4XD28G7Independent4yrs4Y
Pro choice, but ban late term abortions unless there is a risk to the mother's health or there are extreme health complications that could severely inhibit the infant's quality of life. Also, continue to ensure that there are protections for any infant born alive after an abortion.
@89LSS7XIndependent4yrs4Y
Pro-Life, but allow in cases of rape, incest, health of the mother and if the woman is under the age of eighteen, providing birth control, sex education, and more social services will help reduce the number of abortions.
i dont judge people having abortons
