So much for separation of church and state—this just feels like another excuse to push their narrow religious agenda into government policy.

I think it’s a smart move to put Dan Patrick in charge, since Texas has been leading the way on religious liberty issues for a while now. Protecting religious freedom is one of the things that makes America unique, so it’s good to see it getting attention at the national level. I just hope the commission focuses on real issues and doesn’t get sidetracked by political theater. As long as they stick to defending everyone’s rights, this could be a positive step.

Glad they’re talking about protecting religious liberty, but let’s make sure this commission isn’t just another excuse for more government interference in our lives.

It’s great to see religious freedom being discussed, but I hope this commission actually protects everyone’s rights equally and doesn’t just favor one group over others. We need to make sure religious liberty doesn’t get used as a political tool to divide people.
