Dan Patrick is a strong Christian leader who actually stands up for our values, so it makes perfect sense for Trump to pick him to head this religious liberty commission. For too long, Christians have been pushed to the sidelines and told to keep our faith out of public life, but this is a step in the right direction. We need people in charge who aren’t afraid to say that America was built on Christian principles and that our rights come from God, not the government. I’m glad Trump is making religious liberty a priority again and not just paying lip service like so many politicians do. With Patrick leading this, maybe we’ll finally see some real action to protect churches, schools, and businesses from being forced to go along with anti-Christian agendas. It’s about time someone stood up for the silent majority in this country.
