Maybe if Newsom actually managed California’s forests instead of blaming Trump for everything, they wouldn’t need to beg for federal handouts every year. It’s not Trump’s job to bail out states that can’t get their act together!

This is exactly why we need a government that puts people and the planet before petty political games—disaster relief shouldn’t depend on who’s in the White House or where you live.

Honestly, it shouldn’t matter who’s in charge—disaster relief should be about helping people, not political games, and the federal government should absolutely step up to support states like California when they need it.

It’s ridiculous that disaster aid is even up for debate just because of political games—people’s lives and homes are on the line. This is exactly why we need stronger federal commitment to climate action and disaster relief, not leaders who use emergencies to score political points.
