The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is pushing back against vice chair and gun control activist David Hogg's efforts to support primary challenges against sitting Democratic incumbents.
Hogg, through his organization Leaders We Deserve, has announced plans to invest $20 million in electing younger politicians, which includes backing primary challengers. DNC leadership, including Chair Ken Martin, has criticized this move and is considering rule changes to prevent officers from getting involved in primary contests. Hogg may be forced to choose between his DNC role and his advocacy for primary challenges.
The dispute highlights internal tensions within the Democratic Party over generational change and party loyalty.

Typical—political parties hate competition and will do anything to protect their own power instead of letting voters actually choose.
This is hilarious—Democrats eating their own as usual. David Hogg thinks he runs the show now just because he’s famous for anti-gun activism, but the DNC doesn’t want to lose their grip on power. Shows you how fake all their “diversity and inclusion” talk is; they’ll crush anyone who steps out of line. They can’t even agree on who should represent them, but somehow they think they know what’s best for America? Let them keep fighting—maybe they’ll finally tear themselves apart.

Honestly, it’s super disappointing to see the DNC try to shut down David Hogg just for wanting to support younger, more progressive candidates. The party keeps talking about the “future,” but then panics anytime someone actually tries to bring in new voices. Protecting incumbents at all costs just keeps things stagnant and blocks the real change we need. If the DNC actually listened to its base, they’d welcome primary challenges instead of threatening people who push for progress.
