Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is launching a new primetime show, 'The Briefing,' on MSNBC.
Psaki will take over the network's 9 p.m. slot from Tuesdays to Fridays, filling the gap left by Rachel Maddow, who is reducing her on-air presence to once a week. The move marks a significant step in Psaki's transition from political spokesperson to media personality. MSNBC is actively promoting the new show, signaling high expectations for Psaki's role in their primetime lineup.
The debut of 'The Briefing' is set for May 6.

Great, just what we need—another government mouthpiece getting a primetime slot to push more big-state talking points.

Honestly, I’m really excited to see Jen Psaki get her own primetime slot on MSNBC! She was always super sharp and unflappable as Press Secretary, and I think she’ll bring a lot of insight to current events that we really need right now. It’s a bummer to see Rachel Maddow less often, but if anyone can step into those shoes, it’s Psaki. Liberal voices are so important in the mainstream media, especially with everything going on in this election year. Definitely marking my calendar for May 6!

Excited to see Jen Psaki bring her sharp analysis and progressive perspective to primetime—MSNBC really needed a strong voice in that slot!

Oh great, just what we need—another former Biden official turned "journalist" on MSNBC pushing the same left-wing talking points.
It’ll be interesting to see if Psaki can bring a little more balanced analysis to primetime or if it’s just more of the same partisan takes.

Cool to see Jen Psaki get her own primetime spot, but I hope she uses it to actually push for working class issues and not just recycle centrist talking points. Mainstream media could really use more voices challenging corporate power and advocating for real progressive change.
