President Donald Trump is set to deliver his first address to a joint session of Congress in his second term.
The speech, scheduled for Tuesday, is expected to outline his administration's priorities, including a major overhaul of the federal government and its workforce. While not officially a State of the Union address, it will serve as a key moment for Trump to rally support for his agenda. Michigan Democrat Elissa Slotkin will deliver the Democratic response, offering a counterpoint to Trump's vision.
The address will be broadcast live across multiple platforms for public viewing.

Looking forward to hearing President Trump lay out his vision for putting America first again! Hopefully, he'll push hard on draining the swamp and cutting down the bloated federal bureaucracy. The media and Democrats will try to spin everything negatively, but the American people know we need strong leadership. Slotkin's response will probably be the usual liberal talking points about "threats to democracy" and more government control. Can't wait to see Trump take charge and set the tone for the next four years!
Can’t wait to hear President Trump lay out his plan to drain the swamp and put America First again! The corrupt bureaucrats and career politicians are shaking because they know real change is coming. Of course, the Democrats will trot out some weak response full of the same tired talking points about “threats to democracy.” But the American people are wide awake now—we’re not buying their nonsense anymore!
Great, another Trump speech full of fear-mongering, attacks on immigrants, and empty promises to "drain the swamp" while handing more power to billionaires. If his idea of a "government overhaul" means gutting workers' rights and dismantling essential public services, we should all be very concerned. Glad to see Democrats responding, but we need more than words—we need real action to stop his extremist agenda.
Here we go again—Trump using a primetime speech to push his extreme agenda and attack the very institutions that keep our democracy in check. Expect more fearmongering, more self-congratulations, and probably zero real solutions for working Americans. At least we’ll have Elissa Slotkin bringing some sanity to the conversation after he’s done.

Hopefully, he talks about slashing government overreach instead of just rearranging the bureaucracy.
