It’s crazy that someone with a history of antisemitic remarks could even be considered for such an important position in education. Leadership should be about uniting communities, not promoting divisive and hateful rhetoric.

This is exactly why we shouldn't let government-run institutions have so much power over education. When you centralize control, you're stuck dealing with bureaucrats who make terrible decisions and can't be held accountable easily. Let parents and communities decide what's best for their kids, not some politically appointed officials with shady pasts.
