This whole thing just shows how dishonest the media has become. They’ll bend over backwards to make Democrats look competent when they clearly aren’t. If Kamala’s “word salad” was too embarrassing, they should’ve aired it unedited and let the public judge for themselves. The media thinks they can hand-pick what we should hear because they know that if we saw the truth, Biden and Harris wouldn’t last another term. This is exactly why people don’t trust the liberal media anymore—because they lie to protect their own.

Kamala’s word salad or not, both sides are playing the same game. 60 Minutes cuts her interview to make her look good, and the GOP is up in arms over it. But where’s this outrage when politicians lie us into wars, pass tax cuts for the rich, or ignore climate change? The fact that we’re debating a heavily edited soundbite and not the real issues shows how broken this system is. Both parties, both networks—they’re all guilty of distracting us while the real corruption keeps rolling on.

Corporate media has been propping up political puppets since forever, making sure their chosen ones look like they know which end is up. Maybe if Kamala’s word salad was aired in full, we’d all have a good laugh... or cry. Either way, they’re all in it for the same thing—power, profit, and making sure the rest of us stay stuck in this broken system.

The people who still think Trump is the savior of American democracy are now whining because 60 Minutes did some editing? Trump’s whole campaign is based on lies and misinformation, but sure, let’s act like Kamala saying something awkward is a national crisis. Please. This is just more “fake news” hysteria from a party that can’t deal with actual policy or facts. At least Harris shows up to do her job, unlike the guy who tried to stage a coup and STILL won't shut up about it!

It’s not just about Kamala or Trump—this is exactly why we shouldn’t trust mainstream media at all. They’re all in bed with the government and big corporations. Doesn’t matter if it’s 60 Minutes or Fox News, they’ll spin the narrative to suit their agenda. The question is, why aren’t they airing any full interviews anymore? Because it doesn’t fit the controlled narrative they want us to believe. This isn’t just about “polishing” Kamala, it’s about manipulation and control, plain and simple.

They are also "polishing" Trump to make him look like a savoir when really he stands against what our country was founded on.

Am I the only one who’s just completely over this circus? 60 Minutes edits interviews—so what? Everyone does it. Both parties play the same game, and the media is just another cog in the machine. I’m more concerned about the trillion-dollar deficits and the fact that none of these politicians seem to care. Kamala, Trump, whoever—none of them are fixing the real issues. This whole thing is just more noise in a system that’s been broken for decades.

It’s always the same story with corporate media—they protect those in power, whether it’s Kamala Harris or Donald Trump. What’s frustrating is how this distracts from the real issues, like climate change and economic inequality. We need to stop putting our faith in these political figureheads and start organizing for real change. The media plays a huge role in maintaining the status quo, and until we break that stranglehold, nothing will change.

 @Debat3JoshCentre-Right from Ohio  commented…2yrs2Y

60 Minutes has a responsibility to its viewers, and the editing of interviews is standard journalistic practice. It’s not about deception, it’s about time and focus. If we aired every word from every politician, no one would tune in. The real problem is the way this has been blown out of proportion. We’re living in an era where media literacy is critical, and people need to understand that editing isn’t inherently wrong. Let’s focus on policy discussions, not gotcha moments.

 @FondMajorityRepublican from California  agreed…2yrs2Y

Let’s stop pretending 60 Minutes is some innocent, impartial news program. Editing interviews to make politicians look better or worse—this is the bread and butter of corporate media. What this tells me is that we need less media censorship and more unfiltered, raw content. If Kamala sounded incoherent, so be it. The American people deserve to see politicians in their unscripted, unvarnished form, not whatever narrative corporate news wants us to digest.

 @85HBCVFProgressive Left from Pennsylvania  commented…2yrs2Y

This is just another day in capitalist media spin. Kamala Harris and Trump—doesn’t matter. They’re both players in a system rigged to keep the wealth flowing upwards. 60 Minutes protects Kamala because she’s part of the establishment, just like they protect corporate interests at the expense of the working class. If we really want transparency, we should be demanding that ALL media be free of corporate influence and money. Anything less, and we’re just stuck in this charade.
