Social justice is a political ideology that advocates for the equal distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society. It is rooted in the concepts of human rights and equality, and it seeks to promote fairness and justice in relation to how wealth, opportunities, and privileges are distributed among individuals and groups in society. Social justice is often associated with the pursuit of a more equitable society, where all individuals, regardless of their social, economic, or cultural background, have equal opportunities to thrive.

How do you reconcile the need for both competition and cooperation in a society striving for fairness?
@9KG2BBPRepublican1yr1Y
Social Justice should not influence policy in any way shape or form.
@9KG62KP1yr1Y
When you are a part of a community, it is your responsibility to serve it. You are not serving your community by ignoring or undercutting anyone within the community. Some members will have fewer opportunities due to disability and ethnic background etc., and these individuals deserve to be lifted up and supported by their community as much as anyone else. This is everyone's responsibility, as being a part of a community has perks that must be enjoyed by all within it.
@9KG2GDQ1yr1Y
I think that our society should be a fair and equal one.
@9KG2H351yr1Y
I think a little friendly competition is good for society but It should be a reason to divide use, we are all Americans afterall
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If you could create a new school club dedicated to social issues, what would it focus on and why?
@9KZPLDB1yr1Y
It would focus on how to change the importance of unimportant topics and get people to stop worrying about the minor stupid *** **** and focus on our people's well being and forget the stupid *** **** .
@9KZNXCL1yr1Y
I would make it discussing problems as not good or bad but as the actual values because many times we are biased to look at something as good and bad without actually looking at the true meaning of each of the points.
@9KZQ5ZS1yr1Y
I would create a club that focus on human rights making the world a better place with the understanding of another human and their rights.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Why do you think some groups in society are underrepresented in certain professions or roles?
I think some people are not being noticed because some people are discriminating against them and are making it impossible for people to get jobs.
@9J7FXNV1yr1Y
Lack of wanting to and some jobs aren’t appealing to certain demographics of people
@9J7G4531yr1Y
maybe because people don't believe they are professional or even just because people ignore the topic even tho it may be important
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
When you've felt misunderstood or judged, what could have been done differently to foster inclusion?
@9KSNW331yr1Y
People becoming more accepting to non gender conforming people.
@jsimicConstitution7mos7MO
Acceptance to insanity doesn't validate the insanity.
There are 2 genders/sexes and an infinite number of PERSONALITIES.
Telling society that you're a different kind of person is nothing new.
Telling society that you're a different kind of species is radical.
Telling society that you must use random and arbitrary pronouns or they are committing genocide is emotional blackmail.
The entire movement is an exercise in nihilistic narcissism of the emotionally unstable.
@9KSNRNWConstitution1yr1Y
There's nothing I or anybody can do. You'll always be exluceded in some regard.
@9KSNBLDIndependent1yr1Y
People could have had better education where they learned about socialism justice.
@jsimicConstitution7mos7MO
“socialism justice.”
Justice is justice.
Racial justice is racist.
Social justice is preferential treatment towards preferred groups.
Climate justice is ecoterrorism.
Justice needs no adjectives.

How does celebrating diverse holidays at school or in your community promote understanding and social justice?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What experience opened your eyes to the realities of privilege or lack thereof?
@9HXPSML1yr1Y
I think that social justice is one of the best ways to resolve problems.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Can there be true equality when people start from different places in life due to their backgrounds?
@9HF3DLF1yr1Y
Yes. I grew up in a home without heating or air conditioning. We often didn't have running water. Our house was falling apart. So I started in what you could call 'a different place.' But now I am more wealthy than I could have imagined at this point of my life. God has blessed me financially as I've worked hard through multiple jobs. Once I worked 12 hour shifts every day. But through smart choices, taking charge of my education, and working hard, I no longer have to work.
Regardless of race or gender, there is an equality of opportunity in the USA. If you want to make something of yourself, you can.
@9HF3DXK1yr1Y
If they all have the same goal in mind then absolutely. It’s just a matter of how and how much determination is willing to go into the goal.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do conversations with people from different backgrounds enrich your understanding of fairness?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Why might two people have vastly different perspectives on the same social issue?
@9HXMTSY1yr1Y
depends on family influence, environmental influence as well as friends influence.
@9HXMNMPConstitution1yr1Y
Different experiences with people or just come from different backgrounds
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If you had the power to change one thing to make our society more just, what would it be and why?
@9HD73SF1yr1Y
Hold every American citizen and institution to the same standard of the law, and fines should be relative to net worth, not fixed.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Imagine a day in a world without discrimination; what would be the most significant difference you'd notice?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Have you ever gone out of your way to understand the struggles of a group you're not part of?
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What's a simple act of kindness you've witnessed that promoted fairness, and how did it make you feel?
@9KWLQX91yr1Y
when two person did wrong both of them get consqunce not only one person
@9KWLJ3J1yr1Y
I have seen two different races of women teaching each other how to take care of their bi-racial children. It was beautiful to see them understand each other even though they were on "opposite sides of the spectrum".
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What's the most important lesson you've learned about respect from someone with a different life experience?
@9KWL8T61yr1Y
Just because they don´t look like it doesn´t mean they havent been there.
Cultures are different. Just because you aren’t used to something doesn’t mean it’s bad or offensive.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How would you comfort a friend who's facing an injustice and feels powerless to change it?
@9KNNLZP1yr1Y
I would tell them that the path of honesty and faith will help lead them in the right direction. Fight for your rights of justice and don't give up. Let the people of yesterday form a foundation for you to build off of so you can be person to build tomorrow.
@9KNNHK51yr1Y
I would comfort them and tell them it will be alright
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What change would bring the most happiness to the largest number of people in your view?
@9JD6MJT1yr1Y
Everyone who is a us citizen should have the same rights, priveleges, etc. etc. so they can choose what they want to do with their lives free from hardship brought by stigma and human stupidity. Everyone should be treated the same no matter who they are.
@9JD5NJQ1yr1Y
I don’t care who’s happy. Republicans only matter. Democrats are ignorant.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
In what ways do you think being honest about our biases could help build a more just society?
@9KRMB46Republican1yr1Y
When people are not being so caught up in their own opinions and biases, there will be a chnace to grow and get new viewpoints so people are not stuck in a narrow minded way of thinking. If people are more honest about biases, it could lead to healthy discussion and sharing between the citizens of America.
@9KRM4ZL1yr1Y
It would defiantly help a lot to help build a better society
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How do you think forgiveness plays a role in achieving social harmony?
@9JG4K7M1yr1Y
I believe that forgiveness is important for social harmony because without it, there will be a lot of tension in society overall.
@9JG4H7F1yr1Y
Forgiveness is fundamental since society cantidad hold a certain numer of people accountable because "Social Justice" is very subjective and has an infinity of different interpretations.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
When has standing up for what you believe in brought you into conflict with friends or family?
@9JQL84W 1yr1Y
On a discord server in 2020 when I was an idiot, didn't know much about politics and I recited my parent's beliefs. Also for standing up for vaccines against my friend who is an anti-vaxxer, he got angry at me and we are chilling now but he really does not believe a vaccine works for covid. I understand how they work because I did a lot of research on Covid and vaccines in general, but he didn't care about learning about them.
@9JQKRHR1yr1Y
Many times with my family, mostly my mother. I believe that all people deserve kindness, compassion, and respect regardless of race, gender or orientation. My mother believes in equality so long as transgender only refers to trans men or women and youth do not get gender affirming care.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
When have you felt a strong sense of injustice, and what action did you wish could be taken?
@9HXPBXH1yr1Y
When people that are proven guilty are not in jail.
Taking action and making real change in laws in the gov.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What was a pivotal moment in your life that heightened your awareness of social justice issues?
@9KN4GLTRepublican1yr1Y
When i was 5 years old a doctor had told my mom that my baby brother was stillborn at 23 weeks and that she needed to give birth but there was no evidence that he was stillborn my brother was born alive and wasn't even cared for after he was born and almost killed my mom because she bled out and had to have 2 blood transfusions back to back to make her stable. My brother was alive for 48 minutes and nothing was done. my mom was given no justice and had a very unfair trial.
@9KN45QW1yr1Y
i feel the as a brown hispanic female things are still diffrent from a young cacasion women and in this world nothing is free or fair and you should work hard for everything you want and it should be given to the best of the best
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Have you seen someone's opportunities limited by their background; what did that teach you about fairness?
Yes. I believe black people have been limited today by the history of slavery, discrimination, segregation, and violence in America. Although racial discrimination was technically outlawed in the 1970s in NC (supposed to be 60s but NC was slow), the impacts from that discrimination live on with some of those who are alive today who have experienced it. They say it takes at least three generations to break cycles of trauma, influence culture, and form new habits. It will take at least three generations born after the time of the legal end of racial discrimination to overcome the impacts, viewpoints, and negative outcomes from the racism that our community has endured. We will not have a chance at true equity until the babies of the millennial generation come into adulthood, who have experienced true equity in opportunity.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
In what ways do you believe we can create a society where everyone has equal opportunities?
@9HNC6D41yr1Y
We must create a society where people's starting point has no effect on their journey. Meaning if one is born in a poor household or rich, different heritage or not, race difference or not, family issues or not everyone should have the same opportunity to excel.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
If you witnessed someone facing injustice, what would be your first step to intervene?
@9HWYH2F1yr1Y
Confront the person or contact someone that has the ability to correct the injustice.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Can you think of a situation where someone's identity affected the way they were treated and how that made you feel?
@9HYL97Y1yr1Y
Sometimes if some identifies as a different gender or thing it can cause me to get irritated cause I just feel like it is dumb and I don’t believe in being able to change something
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
How does it affect you when people around you make prejudiced comments or jokes?
@9HXPC3Y1yr1Y
It makes me angered that anyone has the right too judge someone without an actual judgment of their character
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Have you ever benefited from an unfair advantage; how did you recognize and respond to it?
@9HWS4Z41yr1Y
I'm white in America, so yes, every day. I respond by donating some of my time and money to underserved communities in my area and advocating for policies that give these people more power and resources.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
When has a book, movie, or song opened your eyes to a social justice issue, and how did it change your perspective?
@9LJ8V3F1yr1Y
It made me feel for the people that went through the things they did.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
Why do you think some people dedicate their lives to fighting for justice, and what can we learn from them?
@9L577Q21yr1Y
That nobody is above the law no matter who they think they are.
@ISIDEWITH1yr1Y
What public figure’s actions or words have inspired you to make a positive change in your society?
@9LG8DLH1yr1Y
In the bible were taught by the Savior to love thy neighbor as thou lovest thyself so I think just doing what were taught as youth to treat others how you want to be treated
