The Tim Walz story touches a nerve with veterans because everyone knows someone who Tim Walz’d out of a deployment.

The kicker is he then went on to brag about being a combat veteran for personal gain. It’s infuriating.

What's been wild is the non-veterans telling veterans that this isn't a big deal and that we "just don't understand" it.

Odd POV from a group that generally likes to say "believe everyone" and "feelings over facts".

I feel like he's a **** bird okay? Accept my feelings on that.

Walz earned the highest enlisted rank, of command sergeant major, which command enormous respect from everyone who has served in uniform.

You can be critical of someone’s policies, but damn you for going after their honorable service. And to hell with any so-called veterans group that isn’t outraged by the political hack’s attacks on honorable military service.

Walz never earned the right to claim that he served in a warzone, he never earned the right to claim to be an OEF veteran, he never earned the right to be claim to be a retired E9 when he retired as an E8. Walz is a deployment dodger who took credit for honors he never earned.

He never claimed to retire as an E9.

He never claimed he served in a war zone.

He WAS a part of OEF stationed in Italy.

You seemed to be confused on some facts.

Buddy of mine was at a veterans event. He said Walz and stolen valor was all the boomers were talking about. The story hit maximum effect. You can say it won’t move votes, you’re wrong. Same as when you tried nagging me into “moving on” after one day.

Do you believe that a person's service in the military should make them immune to criticism from fellow servicemen and women in the political arena?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2yrs2Y

How do you feel about using a person's military service as a point of attack in political campaigns?
