Walz never earned the right to claim that he served in a warzone, he never earned the right to claim to be an OEF veteran, he never earned the right to be claim to be a retired E9 when he retired as an E8. Walz is a deployment dodger who took credit for honors he never earned.

Her served as a CSM & retired when he was a CSM is a fact.
He will ALWAYS be able to claim his rank as a CSM.
Retirement doesn't change that.
His retirement won't pay him as a CSM.
