How do you feel about a former president being found guilty in court, and what does it say about accountability in politics?
@9NC4S7Q2yrs2Y
It was a political trial like the ones seen in foreign countries.

I feel this has set a huge precedent, in some ways good, but also there is a negative connotation tied to this as well. Accountability is important, and if a person commits a crime they should be held accountable, regardless of their status or position of power.
It also felt less like an authentic criminal process and more about making points, *** for-tat as well as just having so many people who were sending out “flying monkeys” to really feel like it was in fact a fair trial vs loud arguing without many people being able to see the grey areas.
This is not a black and white issue… Read more

It’s a sham, the judge coerced the jurors to convict, all of the evidence was from people who have lied under oath and convicted of other crimes.
@9NC5W552yrs2Y
There is a lot of history and guilt to be unpacked from just that headline.

This is nothing but a witch-hunt designed to take down a man who dared to challenge the establishment. It's clear that justice in America is now just a tool used by the left to silence their opponents.
It's fascinating yet concerning to see the deep partisan divide that the verdict against Trump has unveiled in our country. Regardless of where one stands on Trump, the principle of justice being blind to political affiliation needs to be upheld to maintain faith in our legal system. This case is a testament to the importance of ensuring due process is followed, and it's crucial that all sides remember the value of the rule of law over political loyalty.
Honestly, this verdict feels like a long time coming and it's about accountability at the highest levels. It's a historic moment, not just because he's a former president, but because it shows that no one is above the law, not even someone as powerful as Donald Trump. The division in the reactions isn't surprising, given how polarized we've become, but it's a reminder of the work we need to do to bridge that gap. It's also concerning to see how partisan media outlets are handling the coverage, which only serves to deepen the divide. This trial, and its outcome, really underscore the importance of integrity and transparency in our political leaders. Hopefully, it sets a precedent that will help restore some faith in our democratic institutions and processes.
