Wow, Texas politics is really heating up, isn't it? It's fascinating to see this internal battle within the GOP, showcasing the tug-of-war between the traditional conservatives and the far-right. This runoff between Phelan and Covey seems like a real indicator of where the party's heading, especially with Trump throwing his weight behind Covey. It's kind of alarming to think about the implications if the ultra-conservative faction continues to gain ground, not just for Texas, but for the entire political climate in the U.S. Regardless of the outcome, it's clear that the GOP in Texas is at a major crossroads, and the direction they choose could have significant implications for all of us.

It's about time we get someone like David Covey in there to shake things up and get Texas back to its true conservative roots. The GOP has been drifting too far from what made it great, and Covey's win would send a strong message that we're tired of the same old politics. Trump's endorsement is just the cherry on top; it shows Covey's the real deal for those of us who want to see real change.
