We need to cap inflation to a % each year. Prices can only go up by a certain % each year to avoid it getting out of control.

 @9F4LH35 from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

Minimum wage should be set by the market. What is living wage in one location is being overpaid in another.

  @VulcanMan6  from Kansas  commented…2yrs2Y

Yes, and make it a living wage

The market wouldn't pay people at all if it weren't for labor militancy groups constantly demanding compensation...

I agree that the government should raise the federal minimum wage and the other stances given provide ideas that should be implemented as well. The federal minimum wage should be adjusted by age groups and the current placement of the person (i.e. if they are in college). It wouldn't be fair if a young adult that just got out of high school were to be paid the same amount as an adult working to provide for a family in the same company. There are cases were this condition changes according to the position of the person, such as if they were in college they wouldn't necessarily be pai…  Read more

No, but increase the wage to keep up with inflation and incentivize states that have a higher cost of living to increase the federal minimum wage across the state.

 @9ZBQPKD from Nevada  answered…11mos11MO

Raise the minimum wage if one is working at a multi-billion-dollar company i.e. Mcdonalds, but don't raise minimum wage on small businesses.

 @9W663GY  from Nevada  answered…12mos12MO

Have it adjusted to inflation according to every year, but not a living wage, a janitor and a nurse making around the same salary will cause economical problems. As well is not a fair and balanced choice.

 @9VGRT2N from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

No, for two reasons, the first one being the increasing minimum wage will only increase prices which will continue in an endless circle and the second being that minimum wage jobs should be to develop experience rather than supporting a family. If you want to support a family, make good decisions that will enable you to do it yourself.

 @9VBZ3TH from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

The government itself is not effective at protecting the citizens that need higher wages. The system ultimately hurts them even with band-aids like raising minimum wage. Jobs themselves are neo-slavery.

 @9TTS25P from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, to $9 per hour at least, however after that it should be up to the states as the cost of living in some states are lower than others.

 @9SGVW5D from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

Maybe. The federal minimum wage should have geographically-based weight factors that dictate a higher minimum wage in more expensive areas and lower minimum wage in less expensive areas.

 @9NG4JK3Libertarian from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

teach kids in High School after grad programs including disability rescources for real careers they can live off of

 @9M8Y3HJ from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

Not unless all wages go up with the raise in minimum wage. There is a Scandinavian country that has implemented a law where the highest paid person at a company can only make above a certain percentage of what the lowest paid employee makes. I like this idea.

 @9LHF93C from Nevada  answered…1yr1Y

It should be possible to make a living wage without having to work three jobs. Inflation will skyrocket if this happens though, so I personally have a stance that the government tries to make a middle class again and raises wages.

 @9J2ZRVD from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

It should be adjusted in small amounts based on the economy and inflation at the given time, if there's another market crash minimum wage shouldn't stay super high either

 @9J2PW83Republican from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

The state governments should regulate the gap between living amenities and wages to make sure there is a reasonable gap in specific areas in their respective regions. This should be mandated by the Federal Government but facilitated by the states.

 @9HKQ2JD from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

minimum wage differs from state to state compared to the income and prices of things over what ever state its in

 @9HFXCR2  from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but encourage states, counties and cities to attach the minimum wage to local inflation and empower unions to negotiate fair wages at the local level

 @9GYXJRK from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

They should lower inflation but have a minimum wage be enough for people to get enough money to provide for there family

 @9GXHGMBGreen from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

The minimum wage should be changed by state powers, and should be changed to fit the states economy.

 @9GGBVJDSocialist  from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

No, the decision should be up to states as the required minimum wage differs greatly between states.

 @9FRPMH7 from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

Not everyone has the education to work a job that pays higher than minimum wage so making it a living wage would help people that need it.

 @9FMD38B from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

Keep most jobs that require little to no experience a minimum wage but for any job that requires some skill or trade and years of experience a livable wage

 @9F8FX59 from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

the federal minimum wage should be increased but to a sustainable living wage yet not too high as to allow small businesses to manage labor at an affordable wage

 @9F4K7PV from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

i think the minimum wage should be slightly raise but some businesses dont have that many costumers to be raising the wage so i feel like some places are allowed to but not other work places

 @9DNYJMYIndependent from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

No, this will only cause prices to increase but should be adjust according to inflation

 @9D7XXC4Republican from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

keep minimum wage to its state average income but allow health benefits for all workers.

 @8WS4KRX from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

I believe in minimum wage requirements, but I think it should be local governments that set the number.

 @8VGCWRZ from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Minimum wage standards should be adjusted by state, due to different living costs.

 @9GFKZKKDemocrat from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but have it be based on the company. If the company is a million dollar company than it should have minimum wage raised but if it is a small business no

 @9G7MPV3  from Nevada  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but I think the minimum wage should match the job. For example, a worker at Target should not be making more than an EMT.

 @9B6NGZF from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

 @96CC96L from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

Minimum wage needs to be state regulated out even county regulated relative to the cost of living

 @967DGN9 from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, But with higher pay usually means higher taxes so if there are less of taxes then of course but if not then no keep it at the same rate

 @964NSNSLibertarian from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

No, because it will cause prices to increase and cause the same issues, but we should try improve education as well as work to make more non-minimum wage jobs more widely available.

 @95HMNSLCommunist from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

Abolish minnimum and alow unions to have full democracy in the work place

 @948SZQX from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, increase it to 12 to 13 dollar. But $15 is a bit too high for now.

 @93FC827 from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

Minimum wage should be the minimum necessary for standard living, no less.

 @nvblue from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

 @92M7N46 from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

Incentivize corporations to pay living wages, and/or penalize them for not doing so

 @92GSXLF from Nevada  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and big corporations and businesses should have CEO / upper echelon employee wages kept in check

 @92366H6 from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

How about we make Necessities affordable, such as school, healthcare and housing. For example, here at Arizona College of Nursing we are paying $100,000 for an education, which is unaffordable to most Americans. How about we stop sending our taxpayer dollars to other countries and help out already struggling Americans and emphasize on how important an education is, so that we can start advancing and having a productive economy, not just for a few Americans but for all Americans. Because regardless if we do or do not raise the minimum wage, we will continue to struggle while necessities are unaffordable.

 @8Z52Y88 from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8Z4YPFPDemocrat from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

I don't really think this would help the people because if they raise the minimum wage, all of the other things(housing/food/transportation) would also increase.

 @8YVXWJM from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Hell yes, the minium wage is a joke honestly the minium wage cant even pay the basic neccesities nor bills espically rent

 @8YK85WD from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Adjust by age group and time with the company. This may help prevent younger people just breezing through getting the same payment as someone who has been there long term.

 @8YJZHGP from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8Y6HVRX from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Wages should be determined at a state level. The federal government has no business interfering with differing economic systems and cost of living across the country.

 @8Y42MS6 from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Regardless, minimum wage should be regulated by local government based on the local economy

 @8XWMDYK from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8XMHR36 from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Each states should adjust their minimum wage based on the cost of living in that state.

 @8XLW9LL from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, adjust it every year according to inflation as well as adjust the minimum wage based on age group ie. 15-17 years of age who have not emancipated should make a lower amount beginning as a worker while 18 and over should make a higher amount beginning as a worker and the wage should fluctuate based on many factors some of which being inflation and work ethic.

 @8XBVP62 from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, minimum wage should be a living wage and should increase according to inflation.

 @8X8TRB4 from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8X7FRZQ from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8X5H8KG from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8X4Y69Y from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8X29RJT from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8WZXG8YDemocrat from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

I work in an industry taking care of the elderly and they’re on a fixed income and it would be difficult to pay a new minimum wage of $15 per hour if an increase wasn’t given to people who needed to live in group homes are assisted living.

 @8WYV3YF from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Make a business hire and the government no more than your wage and may get that that’s a business get higher money than toys and the police can get more money on them

 @8WNCYHL from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

No with doing so it will just increase the costs of goods making us in the same place or in a worse place.

 @8W7FF43 from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes it should be but vary on the companies it shouldn't just be one minimum wage.

 @8W7DHXJ from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

State and local governments should calculate minimum wage by the cost of living in their respective area.

 @8VQY72C from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

I believe that the minimum wage should be slowly and moderately changed each year, as I want it to increase, but not drastically.

 @8VQWF8JRepublican from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8V55527Independent from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8TJLDWZ from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, it should be adjusted for inflation, substantial enough to support living with a roommate/food/medical, and should not be too high as to encourage development of the workforce.

 @8TFLZSC from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

No, the more money that is put into the pool of people the higher the inflation rate will become over time.

 @8T5Q69HIndependent from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Yes, as long as all other jobs get a cost of living wage raise as well.

 @8SSYS2K from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

Add a UBI and VAT but also adjust minimum wage to go up based on inflation and UBI

 @8SHLSRDIndependent from Nevada  answered…4yrs4Y

A $15 instant minimum wage increase will put an immediate strain on business owners and employers. They won't be able to employ as many people, be forced to raise product cost and could easily lose business and income due higher prices. However, as an adult min wage worker, an increase would obviously be nice.

 @8RBCK66 from Nevada  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8QS59LK from Nevada  answered…5yrs5Y

No. Government should not interfere in the market. Wage controls cause unemployment, businesses to go under, and costs to increase for both producers and consumers.

 @8QS57G9Republican from Nevada  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8QRDVV3 from Nevada  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but tips should be taken into account as part of an individuals wage

 @8QH9SGL from Nevada  answered…5yrs5Y

It depends because if we raise the minimum wage, smaller businesses will go under, but eventually, the economy will reach equilibrium again and it will reset.

 @8QGX699 from Nevada  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but only raise it to allow people to be able to live off of the wage, however, the wage should not be creating a lifestyle
