Take the government AND religious decisions out of marriage and just let it be a decision between people

 @9HRGWZQProgressive from Vermont  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but I don’t believe the government can force churches to wed couples they don’t want to, regardless of sexual preference

right to marriage should be given unconditionally and not included in politics

if you want to marry someone the same sex gender like you to anyone, anybody, Etc... some people may support some people may not. you really can't say derogatory things unless something is wrong maybe you are jealous !!!

 @95RVC9MProgressive from Oregon  answered…3yrs3Y

Remove marriage from the us code, grant all of it’s rights and privileges to civil unions, so marriage is a purely religious construct.

 @95RJLF5Progressive from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as long as marriage is a federally recognized social institution, religion has no place making regulations regarding it

 @95JGDW4Progressive from Michigan  answered…3yrs3Y

I think if you want to marry someone, it shouldn't be illegal. You should be able to choose your spouse, and the government shouldn't interfere.

 @956QGTSProgressive from Texas  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, the government has no right to decide who can and cannot be married

To me it doesn't matter if the same sex marriage its there choice and it doesn't effect anyway

 @939VTTDProgressive from Washington  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes. The government should not have the right to make a choice based on religious beliefs.

The construct of "same" and "sex" needs to be eliminated from our vocabulary. Marriage is an antiquated notion based in ownership and property. The confluence of two human beings should be stripped of legal aspects. This means revising tax codes, legal statutes and all laws governing marraige. We need to liberate the definition of marriage.

Same Sex marriage should absolutely be allowed to matter what. The LGBTQ community has the same right to marriage and happiness as any heterosexual couple.
