No one is required to do that. No one can make you GET a same sex marriage, but they shouldn't have their life paths altered, their ability to get married and have the legally binding benefits of that marriage, because of what you believe.
Also, I used to be hardcore religious- I didn't believe in banning same-sex marriage, but I used to believe it was against God's will until I got a vintage Bible and learned they changed the translation. It used to be admonishment against pedophiles, not homosexuality. Its described here:
