There are women that go through many things in life and we never know how they got pregnant or if they are in a stable enough situation to have a child. You also have to think about health issues and things like teen pregnancies. If a female feels that they aren't ready for a child or they don't want to carry to term then they should be able to make that choice. If a child is brought into the world in a situation that wasn't meant to be then there could possibly be more cases of where children aren't taken care of or they go through a lot. The unborn child and the Mothers future need to be thought about and whether it will be a beneficial situation.

They could always put a child up for adoption but if the mother is 100% certain they are going to die that is when abortion is ok.

Does the child get to decide whether or not it gets to live? Why does the mother get to decide whether or not a baby has the chance to live. It's widely illegal to edit the embryo of human because the future child didn't get to decide if it wanted to be edited. Anyone deserves a chance at life even if they end up in a bad home or in conditions the mother can't support.

While I do agree that more consideration should be made about both the mother and child's right, we cannot forget that the child has a right to life as well and instead of focusing on changing the ruling to allow more abortions, we should instead focus on spending money, time, and our focus on seeking ways to allow safer births, and better foster care and adoption regulations and funding so that the mother and child can both live better lives without needing to kill the child or mother out of convenience or unfortunate dangers of the birth that with further medical advancements could become a danger of the past. That is how we should be spending our time, focus, and resources, not on asking who has to die, but on asking instead, how we can help improve the lives, quality of life, and safety for both?

Just because they made a choice to have sex doesn't mean that the baby should be punished by death. There are so many women who can't have a baby looking to adopt. And if they didn't want to get pregnant, birth control is free at any planned parenthood. In cases of abuse or rape that should be the only time abortion might be okay. But it is still in reality murder, and everyone deserves a chance to live even if its in foster care.
