I understand if guns should not be outright banned and that is not what I am pushing, but limitations and heavier regulations on people for owning them is nessisary. such limitations could include people with a history of violent mental health issues and not just requiring a felony, raising the age to aquire one to 21, and having restricted areas such as open hunting grounds to be the only place they are allowed outside of a case/in a usable state.
that and marginalised groups do have a higher crime rate percentage because they also have a higher poverty and discrimination rate. why would someone well off rob someone else at gunpoint if they already have what they need? additionally, is the argument that murder is more common in people who are actively surprised and discriminated against because of events that they cant change, which results in thousands of false convictions without any kind of assistance or mental help for them if they need it?
