It's about time someone started trimming the fat at HHS—maybe with less bloated spending, they’ll finally be held accountable for how our tax dollars are used.

Cutting the HHS budget right when we're dealing with things like measles outbreaks is just reckless—public health should be the last place we tighten the belt. Instead of slashing funding, we should be investing more to protect our communities and make healthcare accessible for everyone.

Honestly, it’s pretty frustrating to see RFK Jr. trying to justify slashing the HHS budget, especially with all the public health issues we’ve had lately. Social democracies should be investing more in healthcare, not less—this is literally the opposite of what we need. Cutting funds from HHS is only going to make outbreaks and health crises worse, especially for vulnerable communities. You’d think after the lessons from COVID and now the measles situation, our leaders would have learned the value of strong public health infrastructure. Congress should be pushing for more support, not letting these cuts slide.
