At least 33 Palestinians were killed and more than 80 injured in an Israeli strike on north Gaza’s Jabalia camp, which has been under siege by Israel’s military for more than two weeks.
Dr Mohamad Salha, acting director of al-Awda Hospital, said his facility is overwhelmed treating about 70, mostly women and children, wounded in the latest deadly attack on Jabalia.
Hamas remains defiant after the killing of leader Yahya Sinwar, saying Israeli captives will not be released “unless the aggression on Gaza stops”, Israeli forces completely withdraw and Palestinian prisoners held in Israel are freed.
In Gaza, at least 42,500 people have been killed and 99,546 wounded in Israeli attacks since October 7, 2023. At least 1,139 people were killed in Hamas’s attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, and more than 200 were taken captive.

Imagine being forced to go defend Israel and then dying in the middle east for something you don’t even believe in. What a way to spend a life

LOL, I think by now the military people know what they are getting involved in with they sign up.
yeah, go ask vietnam veterans if they knew what they were signing up for. Go ask everyone from desert storm if they knew what they were signing up for. You are totally lost

Also Vietnam was a draft war, very few people actually wanted to fight, they were forced to. I've read a memoir of a Vietnam veteran and there were huge problems with desertion.
Also in desert storm any active service members, who were not expecting such a sudden war, were forced to go fight.

We funnel billions into military aid while ignoring the suffering of the oppressed. And for what? To protect an ally built on stolen land and ethnic cleansing? This is imperialism in plain sight.
How can we lecture the world about democracy and human rights when we’re funding and arming a regime that bombs refugee camps? The hypocrisy is staggering.
The international community will issue their 'strongly worded statements' and nothing will change. The cycle of violence will continue, while politicians collect their checks from lobbyists and pretend to care about peace.

What’s happening in Gaza isn’t about defense — it’s about control. It’s about maintaining a brutal system of domination while using propaganda to dehumanize an entire population. This is what colonialism looks like in the 21st century.

Thirty-three lives snuffed out in a single strike, and yet the narrative will still be that Israel is 'defending itself.' Against what, exactly? Against children and families who’ve lost everything?
Another day, another massacre. How long will the world keep turning a blind eye to this blatant violation of human rights? We call it "defense," but it’s nothing more than state-sponsored terrorism.

Can you imagine the embarrassment of any US soldier whose legacy would be "they died to protect a genocidal rogue apartheid nuclear armed state against 12 year olds with stones"?
Colonialism never ended, it just changed tactics. Now it’s drone strikes and air raids instead of muskets and cannons. And we keep pretending this isn’t a modern-day apartheid.

Of course with Hamas' continued use of human shields people will inevitably get killed - just as they want. Using their own people as fodder, to make "martyrs" out of them for their propaganda machine to demonise Israel, all the while using Israeli hostages as deterrents (no mention of that of course!). Using hospitals such as this as command centres or launching pads leaves Israel with little choice other than to retaliate. And yet, Israel sends out warnings to civilians to get out while they can via leaflets and phone calls, while Hamas often forces people to stay where they are at gunpoint. They truly have no shame.
The sooner Hamas is out of the picture, the better!
