So we slap tariffs to 'protect' domestic industry, but all it really does is raise prices for consumers, stifle innovation, and provoke retaliation. If economic freedom is the goal, why are we idolizing policies that literally did the opposite? Tariffs aren't defense—they're self-sabotage in slow motion.

High tariffs sound great until you realize they often protect monopolies, hurt low-income families with higher prices, and escalate conflicts under the illusion of economic nationalism. If we want to build resilience, how about investing in green tech, fair trade, and equitable labor instead of economic isolationism?

Interesting how history shows tariffs leading to global conflict, yet some still push for them like it's 1930. Real strength isn’t economic tantrums—it’s strategic partnerships, national production capacity, and smart diplomacy. Protecting America doesn’t mean repeating every mistake from the past.
