While I disagreed with Rep. Grijalva on almost every political issue, I can still respect his long career in public service. He was a dedicated progressive, but many of his policies hurt Arizona, especially when it came to the border and economic growth. That said, it’s always sad to see someone who served for so long pass away. I’m sure his supporters will miss him, and I hope his family finds comfort during this time. It’s no surprise that Pelosi and Hobbs are attending—he was a major figure in left-wing politics. Now, Arizona has an opportunity to move in a different direction, one that prioritizes border security and economic prosperity. Rest in peace, Congressman.
