Texas Representative Jasmine Crockett is facing backlash after referring to Governor Greg Abbott as 'Governor Hot Wheels' during a public appearance.
Abbott, who uses a wheelchair, was the target of the remark, which many critics, particularly Republicans, have condemned as offensive. Crockett has defended her statement, claiming it was not intended as a reference to Abbott’s disability. The controversy has sparked debate over political rhetoric and respect in public discourse.
The Republican Congressional Committee has used the incident to criticize Crockett and the broader state of political dialogue.
