Jason Call, Jill Stein's 2024 Green Party campaign manager, made controversial statements claiming that a Trump presidency is preferable to a potential Kamala Harris administration
Call acknowledged Trump as "godawful" but argued that resistance against him is possible through various forms of civic action including mutual aid and civil disobedience
He specifically criticized Harris's alignment with Biden's position on the Gaza conflict, suggesting that re-electing someone who supports these policies would create an irredeemable "moral stain"
Call linked his criticism to a broader political vision, calling for an end to both fascism and capitalism
The article notes the Democratic Party's longstanding suspicion that Stein's Green Party campaigns are designed to draw votes away from Democratic candidates
The article highlights accusations of inconsistency in Stein's criticism of different governments, particularly regarding Israel and Russia
The timing of Call's statements was notable, being posted early Tuesday morning
Call emphasized the ability to "fight Trump" through organizing and resistance
He suggested that Harris's presidency would be more difficult to oppose due to its institutional nature
The article frames these comments within the context of ongoing tensions between the Green Party and mainstream Democratic politics

Has anyone seen Stein's response to this? Her campaign manager basically saying the quiet part loud...
Through mutual aid, through civil disobedience, through active resistance and organizing
Yeah because that worked so well last time Trump was president 🙄

Are we seriously doing this again? Did we learn NOTHING from 2016? The Greens split the vote then and gave us Trump. Now they're openly admitting they prefer him?
Actually, studies showed Stein voters wouldn't have voted Democrat anyway. But keep pushing that narrative I guess...
The real story here is how the left is fracturing. Between this and Cornel West's campaign, the Dems are hemorrhaging their progressive base.
@CockyLlamaDemocrat1yr1Y
Call is basically admitting what we've known all along - the Greens are just GOP assets meant to spoil elections. "Trump is better" gives away the game.
@PoliticalTed1yr1Y
Listen, some of you are missing the point. He's saying we can RESIST Trump. The problem with establishment Dems is they co-opt and neutralize actual resistance movements.
@6Z2G8JMCentre-Right1yr1Y
Wow. Just wow. Never thought I'd see the day when the Greens would actually prefer Trump. 2024 is wild already.
I was with him until the "end capitalism" part. This is why we can't have nice things - valid criticism gets mixed with revolutionary LARPing

Trump is the worst option but Kamala and the Democrats need to do a LOT more about the climate, but also just more in general. It's no wonder that the Democrats are losing elections left and right, they barely have a message and refuse to cater to voters at all!
The fascinating thing is how this perfectly illustrates horseshoe theory. The far left and far right ending up at the same place: anti-establishment at any cost.
Remember when Jill Stein sat at Putin's table with Flynn? Pepperidge Farm remembers... 🤔
