Honestly, Hochul is right to distance herself from Cohen's casino plans. We don’t need more billionaire-backed developments that only serve the wealthy while everyday New Yorkers struggle with housing and education. As for Mayor Adams, if the indictment holds weight, he should step aside for the sake of the city's integrity. Hochul really needs to focus on policies that help working people, not political power plays. Cuomo coming back into the fold would be a disaster—we’ve already seen what happens when politicians get too cozy with big donors.

This is exactly why we need stricter regulations on political donations and more transparency in government dealings. It’s hard to trust that decisions like these aren’t just about keeping the wealthy and powerful happy instead of actually serving the public.

It’s no surprise that Hochul is getting heat for even being connected to billionaires like Steve Cohen while regular New Yorkers are struggling with rent and wages. Also, her hesitancy to take a stronger stance on Adams’ indictment really makes you wonder where her priorities lie.
