It's about time child care became a priority in politics—now we just need to make sure the solutions actually support working families and child care workers, not just corporate interests.

It’s about time the child care crisis gets the attention it deserves. Democrats seem to be on the right track by prioritizing professional child care workers and early education, but we need to make sure these programs are fully funded and accessible to everyone, not just a select few. Affordable child care is a basic necessity, and investing in it is investing in our future.

Instead of more government interventions, how about just letting families keep more of their own money to figure out child care on their own terms?
