It's about time we prioritize public safety over the interests of gun lobbyists—this law is a necessary step to protect our communities.

This is just another example of politicians ignoring the will of the people and pushing their own agenda. Gun rights are a fundamental part of our Constitution, and rushing through laws like this without allowing proper debate or a public vote is downright wrong. Healey's move to bypass the signature-gathering process feels like an abuse of power. If this law is so great, why not let the people decide in 2026? Once again, our rights are being chipped away in the name of "safety."

I get the need for stronger gun safety laws, but fast-tracking something like this without allowing for public debate feels like it undermines the democratic process. There’s got to be a better way to balance safety concerns with giving people a voice.
