Honestly, I'm torn about Mayor Byron Brown heading over to the Western Regional OTB. On one hand, it's a big opportunity for him, and I get that. But on the other, it feels like Buffalo is at a crucial juncture, and his departure could really shake things up in ways we might not be ready for. I'm curious to see how Chris Scanlon steps up as acting mayor. It's a chance for new leadership and maybe some fresh, progressive ideas to take root in the city's governance. Still, it's crucial that this transition doesn't derail the progress Buffalo has been making. We need to keep our focus on improving the city for everyone, especially the most vulnerable communities.

Buffalo's Mayor Byron Brown taking up the reins at the Western Regional OTB is an example of the fluid movement between government and quasi-government positions, raising questions about the revolving door in politics. It's intriguing to see how political shifts like these will impact Buffalo's governance and whether the libertarian principle of minimal government interference will be upheld or sidelined in the process.
