In a surprising political turn, former Democratic Representative Tulsi Gabbard has officially endorsed Donald Trump for the presidency, citing concerns over potential nuclear war and a desire for his leadership to 'walk us back from the brink of war.' Gabbard, who has been critical of the Biden-Harris administration's foreign policy, made her endorsement public through appearances and statements emphasizing Trump's previous term's efforts to avoid new conflicts.
This move has sparked discussions on the impact of her endorsement in the upcoming election, especially in key battleground states.
Gabbard's endorsement is seen as a significant political shift, given her Democratic background and previous criticisms of Trump.
.Here are the top political news stories for today.
You'll remember that in 2019, Hillary Clinton said this of Gabbard: "I'm not making any predictions, but I think they've got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She's the favorite of the Russians."
Can't say I saw that coming, Tulsi Gabbard endorsing Trump really shakes up the political landscape, but it doesn't change the need for policies that prioritize social justice and economic equality.

Neither Tulsi nor her father, Hawaii State Senator Mike Gabbard, have EVER been Democrats. In Hawaii, the bluest state in the nation, you cannot get elected as a Republican, so they both ran as Democrats because that's the only way they'd get in office. He is, and she was, Democrats in name only. Tulsi had some promise early on, but she showed her true colors - red red red - in no short order.

"said that the GOP nominee 'understands the grave responsibility that a president and commander in chief bears for every single one of our lives.'"
No one who says that can be taken seriously. Say anything you want about Trump, but "understanding grave responsibility" is not something you can claim about him.
Tulsi Gabbard's endorsement of Donald Trump is a bold and necessary shake-up in American politics. It's refreshing to see someone from the Democratic side recognize the stability and peace Trump's foreign policy brought to the table, especially in contrast to the current administration's approach. Gabbard's move demonstrates a courageous step towards putting the country's well-being above partisan politics. Her insight into the dangers of our current foreign policy direction and the need for a leader who can avert unnecessary wars is something more people on both sides of the aisle should consider seriously.
Honestly, Tulsi Gabbard endorsing Trump is unexpected, but it really highlights how complex and unpredictable politics can be, especially when it comes to issues of war and peace.

As RFK and Tulsi Gabbard's endorsements clearly prove, every sane person left in this country supports Donald Trump over Communist Kamala.
I can't believe Tulsi Gabbard would endorse Trump, especially after all the progress we've been fighting for; this feels like a huge step backward.
