If a political figure you supported was found guilty of a crime, how would that affect your support for them, and why?

Depends on the crime, context of the trial, and time period relative to their elected term. Ultimately it would not be favorable because they are elected to uphold the laws of the nation, but these things are often too complex for a blanket statement.

It wouldn't. The decisions of a jury do not hold much sway in my opinions of people, only the evidence uncovered during the trial. I wouldn't keep supporting someone if I think they're a murderer, even if they were acquitted. Also legality doesn't equal morality.
