Following Donald Trump's recent conviction on felony charges of falsifying business records, the former President's attempt to address the situation through a press conference has been widely criticized for being incoherent and filled with falsehoods.
This event marks Trump as the first convicted criminal to run for president, raising significant concerns about his candidacy among some Republicans. Notably, Miss America winner and North Dakota GOP candidate Cara Mund has publicly criticized Trump, urging a shift back to law and order within the party and respect for the legal process.
This growing dissent within the Republican Party highlights the deep divisions and challenges it faces as it grapples with Trump's legal troubles and their implications for his political future.
