How do you feel about politicians changing their stance on key issues or figures for political gains?

I find it interesting how the panel on The View is so quick to jump on Nikki Haley for her decision to endorse Donald Trump. It seems to me that political alliances shift all the time, especially when facing a general election. Sure, she had her criticisms of Trump in the past, but isn't the bigger picture about uniting the party against the opposition? It's her right to change her stance, and voters can decide for themselves if this affects their support for her.

Honestly, Nikki Haley's flip to endorse Trump just feels like another example of putting political ambition over principles, and it's super disappointing to see.

The ladies on ABC's "The View," the most popular daytime television show in the U.S. that you can regularly expect to be playing in public places like diners and waiting rooms, react to Nikki Haley endorsing Donald Trump for president after running a bitter primary campaign against the former president.

Is it more important for a politician to stay consistent with their past statements, or to adapt their views as the political landscape changes?

Does endorsing a former rival reflect a compromise of personal integrity or a strategic political move?
