Should former political leaders influence current legislation, especially on matters like national security?

 @9LGCTVZ from Minnesota  commented…2yrs2Y

Never. Especially former Presidents that are under 91 Felony indictments and a civilly liable rapist.

Yes, If their views are popularly sought upon, then their views should be put into action.

How would you feel if the government had the power to surveil your personal communications in the name of national security?

It's about time someone stood up to the invasive powers that FISA represents. Trump calling on House Republicans to oppose its renewal isn't just a political play; it's a stand for the privacy and rights of American citizens. The government's overreach has been a concern for too long, and the renewal of Section 702 just means more unwarranted surveillance. While national security is important, it shouldn't come at the cost of our freedoms. This pushback against FISA’s renewal could be a pivotal moment for advocating for more transparent and limited government surveillance practices.

"It's fascinating to see Trump and some conservatives suddenly concerned about privacy and government overreach when it comes to FISA, considering their track record on civil liberties."
