Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi told a crowd in a speech Friday that it wouldn’t initiate a war, “but if a country or a cruel force wants to bully the Islamic Republic of Iran, it will respond firmly.”
Should attacks by militias continue, the U.S. could more aggressively strike Quds Force personnel in Syria, Iraq and Yemen without warning or hit Iranian ships at sea.
The U.S. is likely to stop short of hitting Iran directly, however, as that could draw Tehran more aggressively into a war that neither side has said it wants, though Republican lawmakers have said a strike on Iranian soil should remain an option.
While Friday’s strikes diminished the capabilities of pro-Iranian militias, Andrew Tabler, a former Syria director at the White House’s National Security Council, said that he expected militia attacks to continue. The Iranians and their militias “were moving their forces out of harm’s way” before the strikes, he said.

Pentagon : If Iran responds to our attacks, our next targets will definitely be in Iran
@CaviarDougGreen2yrs2Y
Did anyone with half a dozen brain cells expect anything OTHER than this? H*ll yes, if we bomb another country they will retaliate! It's not rocket science!
@9CJ6CB62yrs2Y
They were threatening worldwide trade and every time we try and ignore them they continue state-sponsored terrorism that directly affects the United States along with trying to creat NUKES to bomb their enemies, is being one of them. Trying to prevent that is our utmost priority, so no, we’re not leaving Iran alone.
If we used our own flaming oil we wouldn't be dependent on the trade going through there – if America First hadn't been ditched by Biden, there would be no problem for us with the "Trade disruptions"
@9CJ6CB62yrs2Y
Our oil reserves only last us 1-3 decades at best, and that’s at their current rate. We use that because we need it. Trade through that area is pivotal to the world at large, even if we isolated, our allies suffering is our suffering.
Our oil "reserves" – but not the un-drilled oil in the Alaska Wildlife Refuge, which is worth billions, not the massive amounts of oil yet to be drilled in Texas – but Alaska, Alaska is one of the most oil-rich areas on the planet. I didn't mean we should rely only on our oil reserves, I meant we should drill MORE oil!

I think they can be helpful but they need to be as transparent as they possibly could. We need to know what is going on in our Country and we need to know what we can do to help.
@9JP2C672yrs2Y
The iranian response is not enough to escalate into a full scale war. While I dislike the islamic republic, I don't believe they would make any reckless moves to provoke war with the US or Israel.
@9JP24MSLibertarian2yrs2Y
honestly, I could not care less about the Middle East. If they start messing with us then let's carpet bomb the hell out of them.
@9JKSM3MPeace and Freedom 2yrs2Y
we hope they don't do anything dumb
@9JNVZ5W2yrs2Y
Iran wants to start something with the U.S after they killed three of our men and woman and their mad because we handled the problem and took action against the Iran rebels. I say they deal with their own rebels or we step in and handle business.
@9JNTRGZ2yrs2Y
cuz it shows that are are guing to attack us
@9JNTR2RRepublican2yrs2Y
They can't do anything to us, we are too strong.
@9JNTLFJ2yrs2Y
I think that if Iran responds firmly, we will ruin the country
@9JNRR65Independent2yrs2Y
I believe that we need to be vigilant of what are enemies say
@9JMYSJPRepublican2yrs2Y
American and Iran should begin a de-escelation process instead of pursuing for a third world war, which doesn't benefit anyone in anyway, it only brings 990 Million deaths in a single second.
@9JMYKPFRepublican2yrs2Y
The U.S. should be alert and aware of the matter.
@9JMT6952yrs2Y
I havent actuall seen it yet but, people should just do better.
@9JMR2QZ2yrs2Y

@9JMSY5G2yrs2Y
