She's not wrong. Elect a candidate who sells himself to the highest bidder and they are probably sick of the whole thing. Question is how to change it given the rotten corrupt state of the system in US.

Maybe it’s time to rein in the lobbying. Over $4B spent in 2022 on a Congress that accomplished nothing. That’s almost $7.5M for every member of congress.

Sorry, but every other advanced democracy doesn't have super racist white ppl who think "freebies" reward underserving people of color.

The UK and France have, uh 'issues' with their colonial and imperial histories. Yet they get free healthcare and free university education in Scotland, so...

The dems know this, which is why anonymous ballot dropboxes and electioneering leveraging Zuck bucks is a big deal. Poor minorities not voting? Let's do it for them. Turnout rates in some urban areas in 2020 were absurdly high.

 @InnocentCatSocialist from Virginia  commented…2yrs2Y

I also believe it's more difficult (by design) for poor people to vote. They suffer from fewer polling stations making travel harder and lines longer. Also, taking time off work to vote, or finding childcare, since they're going to be waiting in line all day.

because the parties are so divisive and so extremely leaning to both ends, nobody currently sees themselves accurately represented. Or it could be because we see things from both parties we appreciate that it is hard for us to lean one way or another.

 @RobustChamois from Colorado  commented…2yrs2Y

Most voters cant even choose a 3rd party candidate since the Democrats and REpublicans block these candiates from ballott access

 @9JHZM8Z  from Oregon  commented…2yrs2Y

They're not completely wrong but voting is an essential right to a democracy. With the amount of candidates there is most likely at least one who aligns with everyone's beliefs.

America is not a democracy

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia  commented…2yrs2Y

Nope, it’s a Democratic-republic turned near corporatocracy.

  @Patriot-#1776Constitution from Washington  commented…2yrs2Y

I'd prefer the term "welfare-warfare empire of lies" to describe our current situation

  @9CJ6CB6 from Virginia  commented…2yrs2Y

Warfare, yeah. Welfare? Don’t make me laugh. The welfare system runs almost entirely through the private middle-man, we waste 43% of our wages (total in-the-long-run expenses) in taxes and insurance premiums trying to get that meager and poorly done welfare system (most every developed country pays less and gets more), and yet we still have a garbage healthcare system, built expressly off the failure of privatization in that sector. Other countries use single-payer systems and it’s vastly more efficient for less. In reality, the slow machine is the private machine when it comes…  Read more

I think the fact that social media and fake news really nailed the coffin on people like Trump being terrible human beings has really made a majority of Americans unsure if their votes matter anymore. This is why news spread around social media should be more inspected and "reliable" news sources (FOX) should be kept at bay, until actual news sources come and record hard evidence of news, not cut-footage.

 @9JJL6DGSocialist from New York  commented…2yrs2Y

The idea that the American People are unsatisfied with the current parties only shows how deep the traditional parties of Demorcats and Republicans are, in part, ineffective. I think that we expand beyond the 2-party system and have more parties become represented.

It makes me sad that they think the government of liars and cheaters. Don't even try to vote

 @9JJFTY9 from Texas  commented…2yrs2Y

The reality that people don't vote due to the fact that political parties don't improve their lives is concerning that political parties aren't doing a good enough job of accommodating for people.

 @9JHZDZK from Utah  commented…2yrs2Y

I think that People need to do more research on politics and figure out whos a better candidate

 @9JJ7GHX from California  commented…2yrs2Y

They have a point but they must vote for the lesser of two evils not voting does nothing.

 @9JJ77TZ from Arizona  commented…2yrs2Y

Most of the younger age group isn't being represented resulting in most of us not voting.
