Absolutely none, we should not teach children religion in school

 @9KSMRZH from Louisiana  disagreed…1yr1Y

students should be given knowledge about each religion so they can choose which religion they want to be. not based off of family or friends religion

 @9KSMDZM from Michigan  agreed…1yr1Y

We should teach about different religions as it is integral to understanding world history. It shouldn’t be preached.

I don’t think religion should have a big role in education because people should have the right to. goose.

every person has the right of freedom of religion and talking about religion can cause problems in the class. why are we going to spend time talking about one religion and not the others? if we talk about one we must learn about the others.

 @9KSL4B7 from New York  answered…1yr1Y

I don't think religion should play that big of a role in education since many students practice many different religions.

If its a religious school then it should be a big part but if its a public school then it should be mandatory. If the child chooses to create a club about religion, thats fine because it isn't pressured onto the child.

Religeon should have NO part in education. infact stay very far away from education.

Religion can offer moral guidance and a sense of community in education, but it should be balanced with respect for different beliefs. Education should be inclusive and secular, allowing students to learn about various religions and make their own choices about spirituality.

Depends on the school. Whether or not it is public or catholic. In public schools it shouldn’t be in place.

 @9KCNLNG from New York  answered…1yr1Y

Only the basics of the history of religions should be taught, it shouldn't get into a great deal of information or turn into a theology class for each religion. It does give understanding to why parts of the world work the way that they do and gives students a better understanding of the world but it needs to be taught from a historical context and NOT taught as a means to demean a certain religion or promote another which could potentially happen in some classrooms.

 @9KP9FW3Democrat from New York  answered…1yr1Y

religion shouldn't play a role in education because everyone has their own beliefs, and they should be able to get an education without having religion interfere.

 @9KD5VHN from New York  answered…1yr1Y

religion should have a place in education, to provide moral guidance, fosters values, and helps shape a person's worldview.
