Wanting the separation of church and state is fine, but putting down others' beliefs is not acceptable.

 @9TFWSTW from Florida  commented…2yrs2Y

It's my belief that it's acceptable to put down others' beliefs. Goddamn snowflakes!

What if my belief is that for example jews are literally demons? Will you respect my religion?

 @9TJ2PWW from Missouri  commented…2yrs2Y

Who believes this? Evangelicals sure don't.

There are quite a few denominations that talk that way about Jews and Catholics. Just because you dont see it doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

There is absolutely no hope for you if you don’t know Jesus. Life on earth is temporary with him though it is eternal. I am and will always be a Christian.

You are merely a cult member and a danger to all of us who believe in freedom from religion.

No, what they are is someone who truly knows our purpose.

I pray for you, that God will put someone in your life to help you see truth.

We are no threat. We, unlike some people, are not trying to force you into our ways.

I also do not think that religion should play a role in education as it is irrelevant to the overall goals of educators. However, there is no reason to disrespect people's views or religion.

It is important for children to have a basic understanding of religion. It doesn’t have to just be Christianity and there is no reason to exclude other religions but children should be given a basic overview with no bias even as simply as in a history unit

 @9KTLCTR from New Hampshire  disagreed…2yrs2Y

I think allowing room for other people's beliefs and point of view is important to increase understanding for everyone.

Our country was founded when religion was a large facet of human life. Although we were granted freedom from establishment of religion, some founding fathers warned against a country led by faithless leaders. If we do away with religion in our lives, what do you propose to replace it? It is important to teach our kids good, moral values.

 @9S44WP5from Maine  commented…2yrs2Y

How about replacing religious dogma with Platonic philosophy for example? No one needs abrahamic religious nonsense.

religion is an important part of world history, and there is nothing wrong with like an elective or something foe people who want it. religion shouldnt be forced on to someone, but there is nothing wrong with someone who wants to learn about it be able to in school.

You know something funny? I'm not mad at you. At all. I just pray that God will put someone in your life that can make you see sense.

Truly, I'm praying for you.

 @B6ZJHPX from Texas  commented…9mos9MO

If that were true, why make sure the entire internet knows how "not mad" you are?
