I think that education should be privatized so Americans can choose to educate their children in schools that align with their values, including religion.

 @9KKL6ND from Massachusetts  disagreed…1yr1Y

Privatizing education makes it harder for people who can't afford it to get access to quality education. fund public education across the board, and dis-associate funding from local taxes (as this practice maintains wealth inequality and systemic racism)

I think religion would play a good role in English because people who pray read a lot of scriptures.

 @9KHKGHQ from Florida  disagreed…1yr1Y

The constitution says there needs to be a separation of church and state. Religion should have little to no role in education

 @9JV8HBFLibertarian  from Ohio  answered…1yr1Y

I think all forms of religion should be an available subject k-12. Fundamental basics mandatory.

With an increasingly secular culture, it’s important to provide a range of ideologies to young people, and there should be unbiased teachers presenting this information.

 @5GHSCDSIndependent  from Minnesota  answered…1yr1Y

Religion may be freely taught at home or in a private school. If it is a public school, religion should only be discussed for purely academic reasons (e.g. a history teacher stating that MLK was a Baptist preacher). However, as long as tax dollars pay for it, no school should endorse the teachings of any religious doctrine.

I believe students should be raised knowing the differences and niches of all religions and should not be pushed to any particular religion(s)

Religion should not play a role in government schools. However, parents should receive vouchers to send their children to the school of their choice, including religious schools.

 @9KQHN44Libertarian from Kentucky  answered…1yr1Y

I believe that religion should play a role in religion because The Bible tells us to spread the word of Lord.

 @9KN5R3DLibertarian from Virginia  answered…1yr1Y

no believe that our government should have no relationship with the church at all

 @9KQJL9TLibertarian from South Carolina  answered…1yr1Y

I feel like religion should not be forced, but be able to be openly communicated. If we can't openly communicate in certain classes about religion then were not learning everything applicable to life. You need the basics.

I think religion should play no role in education unless it is taught outside of a public school system. Even then you shouldn't force your children to believe the same way you do and let your children explore the world. Religion is the biggest manipulation tactic that has followed us through time. Children should not be introduced to religion in public schools.

 @9KK556QLibertarian from Ohio  answered…1yr1Y

I think that parents should be able to tell the schools to not teach their kids a certain topic if it truly goes against their rights.

 @9KG3GH8Libertarian from New Jersey  answered…1yr1Y

Religion should only be involved in education if the parents choose to send their children to a religious education program, if the students themselves wish to participate, or if it is embedded in a specific coursework such as philosophy or theology/religious studies.

 @9KFYCCMLibertarian from Oklahoma  answered…1yr1Y

People should be allowed to pick what religion they want in the school of their choosing.

Religion is an important pillar of society and having to being a safe place to practice without hate and with quiet places should be accessible and students should be able to promote what they believe.

 @9KFXCVBLibertarian  from Oklahoma  answered…1yr1Y

well religeon is a freedom of your choice if it is in schools then its in schools if your faith is strong other faths should not interfere with your belifes

 @9KCSF8GLibertarian from Washington D.C.  answered…1yr1Y

It should not, church and state should not be apart of each other, just as the founding fathers have said.

 @9KCKLQSLibertarian from Pennsylvania  answered…1yr1Y

I think religion should play a very small role in education because not everyone believes in the same thing and probably doesn't like someone else's religion shoved down their throat.

I believe this should be taught and described to children however not forced and be a choice of family.

 @9KM3NS2Libertarian from New York  answered…1yr1Y

none, religion is outside the bounds of what a general education system should care to discuss.

 @9KHRC5FLibertarian  from Missouri  answered…1yr1Y

religion should be taught separately to those who don't have interest in it. No kid should be forced into a religion, but no kid should be forced NOT to be in a religion.

 @9KNP7Q4Libertarian from Idaho  answered…1yr1Y

We should learn about religions, but not force anyone to believe anything. People need to be educated.

 @9KJYLPSLibertarian from Missouri  answered…1yr1Y

i think students should be exposed to as many religions as possible to show them what everyone believes and how other cultures function but, it shouldn't favor one over the other

 @9KJM868Libertarian from Oklahoma  answered…1yr1Y

Prayer should be allowed and taught in all schools or a class strictly for religion. Whether a child believes in a higher power or GOD is their right to choose their religion, but they may not know much about it. Or believe but live in a household that does not.

 @87RZLZKLibertarian from Texas  commented…8mos8MO

Many faiths have "Sunday school," leave the weekdays are for learning life skills. As ethics and being a functional and respectful member of society are not synonymous with the faithful, I think it's an outside life education and personal choice.
