Religion should be separate from public education. Public education is provided by the government, and church and state should always be separate.

I feel that children’s should at least be able to learn about it and see what they want to follow or if they don’t want any part of it.

Religion should not play a role in education, it is important that we seperate church and state.

Religion as an educational topic is something I would encourage. However, religion (especially if it’s only one in particular) should not be taught as fact in a public education setting. For two main reasons - 1) it, by definition, would alienate students of other faiths and strengthen the divide between students that already exists and 2) as public education receives public funds it must follow the same rules as all other publicly funded organizations by not discriminating on the basis of religion. In sum - teaching any religion as fact, or implied fact, is discriminatory to people of other/no religion.

I think religion should not be any part in school except for in a history non biased stance.

I think all children should have the chance to know God, and if they aren’t being taught at home, give them the chance to learn at school. They can decline if they don’t want to.

I am religious but I think religion should play a role only in private schools.

Religion has no role in education. The separation clause of the first amendment dictates that religion should be a separate entity from all governmental institutions. We have interpreted this to mean absolute Secularism in the modern world. The promotion of religion in the educational classroom is A. unconstitutional, as it violates the 1st Amendment Establishment Clause; the 14th Amendment Equal Protection Clause, and goes against civic principles of discrimination. B. Religion does not promote any educational value, as religion is irrelevant towards the fostering of successful students. C. Religion often is exploited to commit tyranny of the majority against minority groups. Thus, religion should be strictly kept out of education, at least in Public schools.

I think religion shouldn't play a role in education, if you're in a public school.

i think religion should have no role in normal education. It should be an option like if you go to a catholic or christian school or if you choose to take a class where you know religion will be taught to you.
@McKann26Republican1yr1Y
Everything returns back to religion and beliefs. I think it is very important to have some religion in schools such as in history classes and in private institutions but not too much in public schools as everyone has free agency. (Although they could add optional classes)

I think religion should be left out of public education, private education is different
