The UN was meant to protect the people of the world. It is meant to be the UNITED NATIONS. Was built to protect people from genocide. The UN doesn't belong to just one nation it belongs to all that participate. 8 years ago from a Green in Riverview, FL
Yes, and do more to forge a world concensus instead of being so self-interested, cocky, and downright backward in some cases. Voting by blocks should be forbidden. Large countries go around the world giving aid to little countries in exchange for votes... 8 years ago from a Democrat in Harrisville, NH
Absolutely and we need to continue to influence the worlds' countries as we have done in the past. 8 years ago from a Republican in New Egypt, NJ
Yes - but base involvement on the political environment presented by member nations. If the UN starts endangering US interests or security, the our support should be withdrawn proportionally. 8 years ago from a Republican in Southwest Brevard Cnty, FL
We need to relocate the United Nations out of New York City as a starting position. Perhaps a smaller permanent footprint in some other location in the US but establish a rotating location between the major countries that contribute to the funding of UN... 8 years ago from a Republican in Potwin, KS
Yes, the US should increase its involvement and become the head of the organization. We won't be a superpower much longer and the UN will be the governing body for the world, we might as well be on top. 8 years ago from a Democrat in El Dorado Hills, CA
Yes, only if after the United Nations is reformed to make it's decisions more binding. 8 years ago from a Democrat in Pocopson, PA
Yes, but step down from its permanent seat on the security council. 8 years ago from a Socialist in Bowmansdale, PA
Yes, but we should cut back on our funding to the UN. Why do we bear the largest funding of all other nations? Has there ever been an American citizen elected to head the UN?. 8 years ago from a Republican in Jenks, OK
No, the UN has been nothing but an arm of the Western nations to assert their influence and should be immediately dissolved. 8 years ago from a Green in Dublin, OH
