It is a ridiculous subject to have any controversy about, when our borders & the American people are not safe!!!

NO... Legalizing marijuana poses profound risks to moral formation, cultural clarity, and societal resilience. It violates the first principles of stewardship, virtue, and moral law by normalizing impairment as autonomy.

 @3GBWB4VNo Labels from Minnesota  answered…1mo1MO

Yes, legalize, tax, and regulate marijuana and release people serving time for marijuana based offenses.

 @RWM1999Republican  from Texas  answered…9mos9MO

No, it should be left to the states per the 10th Amendment, but medicinal marijuana should be legalized

 @9K4HXYJ from Washington  answered…1yr1Y

I don't really care if it used for recreational use unless it becomes an issue and people just start abusing it

 @9JV7PMV from Alabama  answered…1yr1Y

Yes, but legalize, tax, regulate, and decriminalize it; however, it should be treated as alcohol -- ban its use in public, while operating vehicles, and discourage its use.

 @9GZMF7C from Iowa  answered…2yrs2Y

Make it have the same stance as alcohol, if caught in public you will be fined or imprisoned. If you aren't endangering anyone, you should be allowed to use it for recreational use.

 @9FB4DGR from Utah  answered…2yrs2Y

No, but prevention and rehabilitation should be the solution instead of prison.

 @9V727WBLibertarian from Colorado  answered…10mos10MO

Yes, but penalize those that abuse it and it leads to violent offenses. Also, ban smoking weed in public spaces just like cigarettes

 @9RSH5PF  from Washington  answered…12mos12MO

The federal government has no constitutional authority to decide this. The States must legislate for themselves regarding this issue. Ideally, people who use cannabis would not be imprisoned but those who sell it would face a steep fine. It if was truly necessary for medical purposes, it would also be legal in those limited cases.

 @9PTZCQ3 from Arkansas  answered…1yr1Y

States rights not federal. Myself, I believe for medical use only until we have substantial data to research current practices of each state’s evaluated how marijuana laws how impacted residents, criminal justice and healthcare.

 @8HM82H5 from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

NO! Mind altering drugs are DANGEROUS and a hazard, and should be criminally illegal.

 @8ZRNDT4Socialist from Virginia  commented…3yrs3Y

Are you saying we need to go back to prohibition but this time include cigarettes, dip, cigars, caffeine, energy drinks, sugar, and even chocolate! Weed isn't something that makes you trip and see things and colors. I'm going out on a limb and guessing you never smoked, so why should you want to stop people who have. It's safer than alcohol.

Yes, legalize it because I want to start using it without the “illegal” stigma.

 @8Z63X62 from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes legalize it because I want to start using it without the “illegal” stigma

Yes and release anyone who has been charged with marijuana related charges

 @8QWQ4JK from Massachusetts  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8PWZ6LZRepublican from Iowa  answered…5yrs5Y

Indifferent. Couldn't care less about what happens to the legalization of weed.

 @8MMG783 from Pennsylvania  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8LFFYJN from New Jersey  answered…5yrs5Y

No, I do not think that harmful drugs should be legal especially when proven to have long term effects.

 @8KZVP4VRepublican from California  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8KZCB6B from Illinois  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, however, it should be culturally and societally shamed as well as reserving regulations to private and public institutions

 @wmrhinersonRepublicanfrom Florida  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, for medical purposes but it should be a state issue, not a federal one

 @8HBFCV4 from New Mexico  answered…5yrs5Y

No, not until it's possible to accurately determine whether a driver is operating under the influence of Marijuana or not.

 @8H886H6Socialist from Oregon  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, anyone should be able to purchase marijuana over the age of 16 with tax

 @8H2G4G8 from Idaho  answered…5yrs5Y

No, Marijuana legalization has no place in society. Even medical uses are covering up a problem instead of trying to solve it.

 @8FTVQ5F from Ohio  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8CYWHKPRepublican from Texas  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but we should hold it to the same (if not a little stricter) standard as alcohol. I.e. no public intoxication, driving while high, etc.

 @8CRMXW6 from California  answered…5yrs5Y

 @8C8LNZZ from New Hampshire  answered…5yrs5Y

Legalize, tax, and regulate, perhaps, but how to mange the effects? Similar to OUI, marijuana impairs - so, what happens when someone causes another harm, due to usage of this new "legalized" substance?

 @9D35GLC from Pennsylvania  answered…2yrs2Y

YES, but ALL Under the Influence Laws should APPLY the same as ALCOHOL! POSSESSION should NOT be a criminal act unless it is PROVEN to include INTENT TO SELL.

 @9CVX8ZLIndependent from Colorado  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, because alcohol is legal despite being very destructive to the workforce and citizenry.

 @jerry9310Libertarianfrom New York  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, and immediately release anyone serving time solely for drug possession (but imprison drug dealers).

 @9BQX9WH from West Virginia  answered…2yrs2Y

 @99VDR5V from Texas  answered…2yrs2Y

Yes, but only the states should decide their laws, and all profit should go back into that state.

 @98KD4RLRepublican from Georgia  answered…3yrs3Y

Legal to smoke. Fines for growing, selling, buying, and transportation. Jail time for giving it to a minor, smoking in public, or being high while driving.

 @97LJVRW from California  answered…3yrs3Y

Don't really care either way, people can smoke if they want but ban it from the workplace. Businesses don't need employees that are too baked to work properly or efficiently.

 @97BN32WRepublican from Oregon  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but increase criminal charges for being inebriated in public or committing crimes while under the influence of Marijuana

 @8Z63X62 from Florida  answered…3yrs3Y

 @8QKQZQW from Florida  answered…4yrs4Y

 @8NS92FV from Nebraska  answered…5yrs5Y

Yes, but never in public. It should be regulated the way alcohol is regulated, with similar laws limiting use during certain activities such as driving. Also, increase government funding for rehabilitation centers

 @8NLNJ6Q from Minnesota  answered…5yrs5Y

I mean in some ways I do but in others I dont like just smoking it when ever you felt like it the that would probably be a no but if it was for a medical reason then yes or if you just are under a lot of stress or something and yo use it every now and then I guess it is not that bad

 @8CN7P7LRepublican from New Jersey  answered…4yrs4Y

 @7MKJ4WC from Nebraska  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, with proper regulation at the state level. Medical use should be prioritized.

 @8PVYR47Independent from Virginia  answered…4yrs4Y

 @96T2WVQ from Pennsylvania  answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, and immediately release anyone serving time solely for ALL CANNABIS ONLY offenses and legalize, tax, make CANNABIS a NORMAL FARM CROP instead primarily for manufacturing of CONSUMER, COMMERCIAL and INDUSTRIAL GOODS instead of criminalizing it. Allow personal growing and use of MARIJANA but INCREASE penalties under Under the Influence Laws in PUBLIC!
