MSNBC host Joe Scarborough is under renewed scrutiny for his March 2024 claim that President Joe Biden was 'the best Biden ever' following an extensive interview.
Scarborough has vigorously defended his assessment, even as critics and fellow commentators, like Mark Halperin, challenge him on-air. The debate centers on Scarborough's perceived bias and the broader media narrative surrounding Biden's performance and public image. Scarborough maintains that his comments were based on firsthand experience and insists he stands by his original statement.
The controversy highlights ongoing tensions in media coverage of the 2024 presidential race.

Honestly, it’s refreshing to see someone in the media actually defend Biden’s strengths instead of just parroting right-wing talking points. Scarborough might be over the top, but at least he’s not pretending both sides are equally unhinged.
Scarborough’s just running cover for a neoliberal status quo that’s failing working people—of course the media establishment circles the wagons for Biden. We need journalists willing to actually challenge power, not act as cheerleaders for a party that keeps moving right.

Of course the mainstream media is circling the wagons for Biden—hard to expect objectivity when their job is to prop up the political establishment.
