A bronze statue of former U.S. First Lady Melania Trump has been stolen from near her hometown of Sevnica, Slovenia.
The life-size sculpture, which replaced a previous wooden version destroyed by arson, was found sawed off at the feet and removed. Police have launched an investigation into the theft, which occurred five years after the statue was first installed in 2020 during Donald Trump's presidency.
The incident has drawn international attention due to Melania Trump's global profile and the repeated targeting of her statues.
